Soul Calibur V feels bit rushed, don't you think?

Just bought Soul Calibur V about a couple of weeks ago (yeah, I'm late but still got it). I never got the chance to play III and IV, however I felt like V is bit rushed. The story mode can be beaten within 2 hours and, after that, I just, basically, fight a lot of fighters in Offline Battle Mode. That's it. Indeed the single-player is very lacking. :meh: Where did the mission mode go? The mission mode is what made the first Soul Calibur more fun and enjoyable on Dreamcast.

What turns me off the most is the A.I. My God. I can't STAND 'em at all! They know what's my next move and thus, they block my every move and beat the crap out of me as soon as I hit the ground. I seriously don't remember being like that in the first game of Soul Calibur. Where's the story/B.I.O. for new fighters? There's a lot of them that I do not know at all.

Seriously, man. What's going on?!?:crazy::crazy:

The developers need to step up more and do better in VI (if there's ever a plan for it in the future).

They did have a timetable to develop the game, and so they decided to put more of their focus in the Multiplayer portion of the game which I'm HAPPY about as they did an excellent job.

Of course I understand those who play it casually wanted the single player features. I think that's why they decided to make the Free to play version of Soul Calibur Lost Swords for PS3.

Last Soul Calibur I really enjoyed was 2. Of course that was also around the time I really enjoyed fighting games. Wish I could get into them but I just don't have time to learn attacks and not get pissed at cheap AI.

Absolutely. I bought the game for like 3 bucks on XBLA some months ago and the game feels underwhelming in every sense. Just do what I do and stick to SC2 HD.

Yeah, I'd like to get Soul Calibur 2 HD one day. Gotta save money to get it. And as for SCV, I finally beat Arcade Mode on Hard; I also beat Legendary Mode as well (took me ~40 minutes to beat it). Wow, the CPU attacked me SO fast as soon as I landed the ground. It was crazy. I wonder if the developers did that on purpose, lol. I am also playing SC:Lost Swords as well. I thought it was 'okay' at best.

Ugh, I think I just stay away from Soul Calibur Lost Swords, then. As I was playing more further in the story, the enemies are starting to get harder and harder. What's even worse is that my health bar is kept getting shorter by the time I fight with 4th or 5th fighters. Definitely not worth the money to continue the fight every time. I'm so ready for SCVI. :(
