So here we are. We've moved. It was talked about for a while but it happened in a flash. I still can't believe we're no longer at Teamxbox. It's been bittersweet. While I'm sad that we've come to an end of an era, I'm excited for the future. This has been a hectic and extremely busy endeavor but I've enjoyed every minute of it.
Leaving behind Teamxbox opens the doors for more opportunity for us. We have a far more functional and feature rich forum software. There's no worrying about if the site stay up or will IGN pull the plug. We can just focus on the future and build upon the awesome community we have here.
It's been just over a week but it feels like it's been months since we launched. The site looks completely different from the generic site I put up that first day. I almost can't look at the stock Xenforo theme. It seems so dated compared to what the forums look like now. It's like night and day. Every time I log in I can't help but smile at how far we've come in such a short period of time.
I'm not sure what the future holds but I have ideas where I see us going. Some are lofty but I don't see any reason why we can't reach them. As the weeks and months pass I hope to continue to add to the site feature and content wise. Some of the ideas I have are are a front page that will have news stories, reviews, in-depth looks, op-ed and the likes. If the site starts generating revenue, I'd also like to run contests from time to time giving away games and other game related items as a way for me to give back to the community and say thanks.
This community has the potential to strive and grow and I'm going to do my very best to try to help it, but, it won't be possible without your help. The community has been great and has helped me get to this point. Everything from Anderson being the PR person without me asking to meance-uk- making the stock threads that we're accustomed to, the community has helped build this site and I thank each and everyone of you.
Thank you everyone and thank you for coming along for the ride.
