The Steam Holiday Sale 2014 will begin on Thursday, December 18 and will run through to Friday, January 2.

A couple of items on my list are:
  • The Banner Saga
  • Wolfenstein
  • Dark Souls II
  • Tales From The Borderlands
  • Game of Thrones (TellTale)

There's also a bunch of 4 player cooperative games I like to get my hands on, as well.

You know what I find funny, I very rarely buy games on Steam that aren't part of a bundle or are price under a buck. Like, I just bought Gearcrack Arena because it looked similar to I MADE A GAME WITH ZOMBIES! and until Ska Studios decides to do a port of it to PC, it remains on the 360 and Windows Phone only.

I'm tired of Steam sales quite frankly, there is nothing new on sale ever, I feel like I own almost all of the sale games that I want for the past year.

You should put up your steam ID. Maybe if there's a good sale, one of us will buy something! :)

We should do some sort of Secret Santa. ;)

I actually kind of agree. I also feel like the deals used to be a lot better.

The other thing, to me, is that they have become completely skewed.

Indie games are selling for $12 "on sale", but you can buy AAA titles for $3

The event this year is also heavily in favor of people with no jobs that can turn a million items into gems. I looked at the auction and bids were plus 100,000 gems lol

Yeah I did earn a bit today on selling gems, found was better to sell the gems then to bid and later use the money to buy the games I want when the sale arrives.

I didn't realize you could sell gems. I may do that instead of trying for booster packs for trading cards. It's cool to get badges but I find even with the booster packs I get two of the same damn card or a double of what I already have.

Just to pack them into a sack and sell, I made $11 on selling gems and price on the sack of gems just keeps raising now. And can use the money to buy the trading cards you want.

I'm selling gems. I do like doing the trading cards. I do it casually though.

Think I will look into selling gems then. How long have they been doing trading cards now, a year? I've received maybe 2 booster packs since they started and I have like 10-15 games with no drops remaining. I'm not going to spend money on cards unless I can sell them from games I don't care about, so at this point I'd rather just turn them into gems if I'll get more out of it.

Turn some stuff into gems and sold them for $2.00!

Damn wanted to get Dungeon of the Endless but it looks like that deal was going on only until the holiday sale started.
