Until about 70 years ago, it was more realistic to have „unrealistic „ body type, then the landwhales body type we see today in the west.
Ffs, if they start making dad bod protagonists I'm going to have a meltdown. Give me characters with round muscle bellies and razor sharp jaw bones or women with thin waists and bubbly ass cheeks and muscular thighs (breasts matters little to me though).
Who tf wants to look at unattractive characters (unless for comedic relief or villains)?

I was actually thinking how hilarious it would be to play as an obese male protagonist. Awkward rolls, awkward slides, awkward...everything. Comedy gold.
I think it was the Saints Row games that let you go full ham with the character creator.

That’s new, they tend censor games in Japan, North America and some other countries. I wonder if they’re not releasing it In every territory they exist
Never understood why it's ok to chop off someone's head in a video game, but we need to censor boobs or butts.
Depends on the culture of the country/region and maybe even history/religion/politics? Probably in the end the latter of it all. Like how you can’t show blood in some European countries, so movie studios and game devs change it to another color….sometimes it’s for the children, like in Godzilla, when ever there’s any body dismemberment it’s some bright neon color.
According to Germans scientists it’ll help you live longer. And for you older lads it’ll help lower blood pressure and decrease the potential of a stroke, if you get 10 minutes of said sight. I wonder if it needs to be a consecutive 10?
