Anyone buy this or at least interested in it? 4X space game from developers of Crusader Kings and Europa Universalis series. I was interested in giving Europa a try which is how I learned of Stellaris in the first place. Not that I needed another 4X game but it looks so damn cool. I ended up getting the Galaxy version since GreenMan Gaming had a 25% off coupon, otherwise with that you can get the game for $30. I'm close to finishing up a playthrough in Endless Legend so once that is done I will check this out.

I'm getting this too! I forgot what the game was about, but it's on my wishlist.

While I could have just gone with the Nova version to get the soundtrack, I'm glad I dipped for the whole enchilada. Anyways the soundtrack in this game might be worth the price of admission alone. So damn good. Only spent an hour with the game but doing all settings on default with full tutorial to get a grasp. So far nothing out of the ordinary but still in starting system and scanning planets for stuff. Tonight I'll make the journey into a nearby system where there is supposed to be life!

I have it on console and I've played a few campaigns to completion. I haven't won any of them yet either! The game is no joke. I have a few of the DLCs also. The rise of the machines DLC is really great in particular. You get depopulate planets from orbit as much as you want! I had nearly half my galaxy as Tomb Worlds before the remaining races formed an alliance and took me out.

I'm interested in this because I've been a big fan of the Master of Orion games since they came out, but like all the other Paradox games, it comes across as overly complex and mechanical and that doesn't really do it for me. I've been teetering on a purchase for a while.

Yeah. I struggled to get into hoi4 also. Cool games just a bit much going on. Stellaris is worth a look if you’re obsessed with space s*** like myself. It truly is a great game if you can dedicate the effort to understanding it.

it’s not as complex as it seems. One or two campaigns and you’ll have it down with any problem

So I just did a stream of this and I did enjoy it! I did it on the largest galaxy and had to deal with the game's tutorial and... well, sometimes not-helpful UI at times, but I was enjoying it. About 3.5 hours in though, I was getting annoyed at finding Anomalies all the time and it felt very samey. There are things the game doesn't explain well, but overall I was enjoying it and I wouldn't mind playing it for fun, too.
