We all knew it was coming, sadly it’s no surprise. There must be tons of overlap and heck we don’t even know the amount of devs that left before this. I’m sure we’ll find out with some that may go on to do some indie stuff, joint other studios, or partner up with major publishers or 1st party deals. I could see Sony ready to snag them up for their GAAS journey.Consolidation begins nao

He was kinda all over the place.Mike shouldn't have talked s*** when he jumped from MS...
If there no overlap, would suit them better at any studio other than Bungie, but as long as they find something and preferably near studios their residencyWould be great adds tbh
sadidontknow.gifWait... why are they using a mobile phone engine to make a PC/Console game???
Also those "outraged" this got cancelled are the same ones that said Redfall should have been.
According to employees, Blizzard made the decision to end the project sadly.
Blizzard, Microsoft they are one and the same now since 2023.
They may have made the decision before it was finalized, things like that aren’t made up on the day of, I’d assume. The employees did say it was a blizzard exec(s) who made the call.Blizzard, Microsoft they are one and the same now since 2023.

Well the announcement was about the layoffs, but not about who and when, I feel like it was like a day afterwards, I can’t recall the exact details. This week has been crazy on all fronts.Maybe , maybe not. But weird timing to announce it then. They probably axed the people who were working on it so decided to announce it. And the axing is from MS so...
But only the latter part of it. The decision could’ve been part of their quarterly report finalization…. Or whatever it’s called like did Sony have doubts of tlou2 mp before they bought Bungie, then have them (after the buyout) evaluate NDs progress in hopes to terminate it before it got worse? Does that make sense, I’m losing track of a few things atmBlizzard, Microsoft they are one and the same now since 2023.
