In its earnings report for the second quarter of fiscal 2014 today, Take-Two (parent company of 2K and Rockstar) confirmed that it has “more than ten unique titles planned for next-generation consoles.” A statement added that, of those, “multiple” releases are planned for Take-Two’s 2015 fiscal year, which runs from April 2014 through March 2015.
During an earnings call this afternoon, Take-Two confirmed that at least one of those titles includes Evolve, a title in development from Left 4 Dead creators Turtle Rock studios that Take-Two acquired from THQ in January. Prior to that acquisition, THQ court documents called Evolve “a co-op multiplayer action game,” though no other details have been revealed.
Take-Two confirmed that another next-gen title is in development at the new Bay Area studio recently started by former Gears of War and BioShock Infinite dev Rod Fergusson. No other information on next-gen titles in development was revealed.
