As I watch the democratic debate I am reminded of one life rule: “the more a person gives you, the more power they ultimately have over you”. Every time the crowd claps it’s because these people are talking about them giving stuff away and stealing other people’s money. these people are just as crazy as the republican, they are just a different kind of stupid...

This is a race to see who can give money away for votes the fastest...

I didn't get to watch the entire debate, but from what I heard, none of them said anything quite interesting. Hillary was quite confident up there. She knows she's got this in the bag.

Sanders said the right things but his debate skills are not that good. He had the best moment of the night when he said STFU about emails. Crowd popped like it was a WWE event and he said the town's name.

You know, Sanders doesn't come across as some ultra socialist. Hell, not one person on the stage said anything more progressive than what Obama has been proposing.

Who's money is being stolen? we have a progressive tax system in this country and that's just how it works. When something needs to be fixed in this country and it's going to cost a lot of money where are you supposed to get it from? the poor?

I think the debate was interesting, Webb and Chafee should be gone by the next one IMO. They weren't given equal time but they also failed to do much with the time they had, Chafee isn't going to get anyone's vote. Sanders is the one I'm hoping gets the nomination and I'll vote for him in CA's primary but Hillary is going to be hard to beat. I think O'Malley had a good night tonight and at least made people aware of who he is since the media isn't giving him much attention. I don't know if it just wasn't on the format for debate but it did trouble me that Bernie Sanders was the only one that brought up campaign finance reform, without that nothing else really has a chance of getting done. I want to hear candidates talking about amending the constitution not only to make it official that corporations aren't people but also actually make it so individuals can only contribute a certain amount, they can't leave anything open to interpretation when it comes to that because the supreme court will just try to wiggle around it.

I watched. Hillary has learned well from her husband on the art of deflection. Bernie gives the vibe that if he gets in it won't just be the status quo. Webb and Chaffe may as well just close up shop. I did like Anderson Cooper's question but the moderating could have better or there just needs to be a different format used.

the problem is we don't "need" to offer free college to everyone, we don't need to offer "free" medical care to people who are not here illegally. while i completely understand how our tax code works (one you may not be if you think the poor aren't getting taxed too). My point is stop trying to take in more money from people who have it (wanted to say worked their ass for it but that isn't always the case), just because you want to fufill the desires of poor people.

Nothing makes you work harder than lack, it's pure conditioning and we as a country are failing at it. but i hate the poor and want them to die so who cares what i have to say...

I guess Jinca doesn't know how to comprehend or realize just how much 18 trillion dollars worth of debt is. Eventually you run out of people to take money from to pay for these kind of things . I mean using his logic why not increase the minimum wage to $100 an hour? why stop at 15? Will just make the wealthy pay for it. Right ?

I'd like Sanders to get the nod only because he seems to be the most radical of the bunch (but only in rhetoric, at this point).

strangely enough he is the only one on that stage i would vote for. I kind of hate and like the guys ideas at the same times. he's like a bad beer, yeah he sucks, but he's still beer and you can't throw away beer...

I think what attracts so many people to Bernie Sanders is his honesty, the guy isn't afraid to say what he thinks and nothing he says is meant to be mean spirited.

We don't have to agree on issues like free college etc but I still don't think there is anything wrong at all with focusing the tax burdens on people who can actually take the hit. I do think it's funny when I hear people I know who are rich complaining about the dollar amount they pay in taxes but if I ask them the actual percentage of their income they paid taxes on it's always much lower than the top rate.

I don't believe Sanders' taxing the rich is taxing them more than they should. From what I've read, and heard, he wants to make sure the loopholes are gone where the rich pay less, percentage wise, than they should be. If the average middle class person pays an effective tax rate of 18%, there's no way someone who makes more should be paying 12%. That should never be the case.

Also, businesses should be taxed for hiding money overseas. If you're making most of your profits here, you need to keep your money here. Corporations should no longer be considered a person and the top brass need to be held accountable when an issue arises like the second Great Depression we had.

For you guys who are so willing to increase the taxes on the "rich, i'd suggest that you research the millionaire tax crossed with the start of income tax. I think their should be a flat tax, with no loopholes bought and paid for via lobbying, but this those guys need to pay their fair share crap just annoys me...

Fair share should = same percentage of income. Someone who makes billions just shuffling paper (stocks) should not be taxed at a lower rate. It should be subject to the normal tax rate if that is the way they make their income.

Trump went on a two minute tirade about the Iran deal that's on the table and went off on how the deal allows China to take advantage of the US even more. Right before the commercial break, Paul drops a nuke on the argument by saying, and I'm paraphrasing, "Uh, China has nothing to do with the deal at all and they actually want the deal to fall through." I'm so glad they let him get it out before they went to commercial.

trump is like of other people who use a lot of words to say nothing of value, he hits the emotion button and gets people excited but he's full of hot air. Nice to see him slapped down. if it came down to clinton or a trump we either go bankrupt borrowing money to give away or bankrupt because a r****d spent all the money on hair...

kasich is a r****d and he is a waste of good air time in the debate.
Carson is looking much better, but i still couldn't vote for another war whore.
Cruz is looking better too, but his wife's employer makes me nervous as to where he gets his marching orders..
Paul is, as always awesome when it comes to ideas to help unf*** the country.

i can't wait for everybody else to drop out of the race.

I can't take you seriously when it comes to politics.

whitehouse or or big house FBI now has opened a case into clinton
Things might be getting much worse for Hillary Clinton as the FBI has announced today that they are expanding their investigation to include violations of U.S. Code 18, Section 1001.

This code section has to do with knowingly making false statements to federal investigators and/or pressuring other people to engage in a cover up.

This is the same code section that resulted in prison time for Martha Stewart several years ago.

According to a Fox News report, this code section gives the FBI and the Justice Department an enormous amount of power to go after individuals that they feel have repeatedly given less than honest answers to the federal government:
