Remember when people believed the Barr summary? Including people running for President?

She was right to want to move on, this circus was never going to lead us anywhere it just kept people angry and hoping something was going to happen that never was. The senate would never impeach, Pelosi was never going to allow it in the house so what was the point really? His base is never going to change their minds and those of us who hate him already did, yesterday hurt more than it helped.

It appears Dan Le Batard will be allowed to return to his radio and tv show Monday.... while Trump and his racist base keep on keepin on. Gotta love America, a lot of the population is allowed to continue to be racist f***s and the POTUS calls you patriots. Nothing wrong here how dare people with a voice that reaches thousands speak out about it.

You can say its time to move on without lying about the Mueller report

I have to say I agree with her.

The left wing media has done more to put Trump in office and keep him there than Fox News could even dream of.

MSNBC especially hyping the Russia thing (and mostly the Russian part of the larger investigation) wore people down. People were already sick of hearing about the Mueller report long before it ever was printed to paper.

Gold Jerry. Gold! (Not my words.)

So much gold in one headline. What's going on here?:

A sheriff in Colorado is mad that Mike Pence didn’t pay the $24,000 security bill for local law enforcement after a fundraiser.

That we could have guessed. It's administration policy not to pay for things, like rallies and tax cuts.

Earlier this week, the Caribou Club in Aspen hosted a $35,000-per-couple fundraiser for the Trump campaign and the Republican National Convention, and the event featured a visit from Pence. The Caribou Club is owned by gay couple Billy Stolz and Richard Edwards.

Um, interesting. So Pence won't eat a meal with a woman who is not his wife, but doesn't mind fundraisers in gay clubs?

Let's hear it from the sheriff and please don't hold back:

You raise $700,000 in an hour, you should be able to pitch in to support the community that made you feel welcome,” Pitkin County Sheriff Joe DiSalvo told the Aspen Daily News.

DiSalvo estimates said that security cost $24,000 for the event, and he broke down the costs.

Break it down for me sheriff:

“We had a SWAT team from Garfield County here that I want to see get reimbursed. We had Carbondale officers here that I want to see get reimbursed. They don’t have this kind of money — I don’t have this kind of money,” he said.

“We had 64 total police officers on that assignment in the 20 or so hours that he was here, totaling 519 person hours,” DiSalvo said. “Out of those 64, 14 were state troopers, and we don’t have a responsibility to pay them. But the 50 other cops that were here are all on the county dime.”

She moved too quickly and probably hadn't read it yet (as most members of congress haven't) but when the AG makes that statement what chance do you think that we would have had that anything would be done to Trump? The AG is loyal to him, congress wasn't going to remove him from office so why keep stoking the flames and keeping people worked up when they all knew NOTHING was going to come of it? Yeah it may have been good for fundraising but keeping people at DEFCON 1 all day every day isn't going to accomplish anything other than stressing us all out, she was right to want to move on and we'd be better off if we had at the time.

Yeah but you are trying to twist her statement to be all about moving on.

1. She declares that Mueller did a thing that he didn't do
2. She makes the statement about the report before having read it or speaking to anyone who read it. This is the worst part by far. Why couldn't she wait? If she said right now that its time to move on that is totally fair. Why did we have to move BEFORE ANYONE GOT TO SEE THE REPORT?
3. She ignores obstruction
4. She gives credibility to Barr. Did we not all know that Barr was going to pull the kind of shenanigans that he ended up pulling?

All for what purpose? Score some points with conservatives?

Let not pretend she has some noble reasoning for any of either.

Not noble just practical, nothing was going to come of this and deep down everyone knew it or should have, even IF the dems in the house had the desire to impeach the senate wasn't going to do a thing so he'd still be POTUS and nobody on the other side would care that he was impeached. It would have been a big grand gesture and taken a ton of time and resources for no result.

Why does him not being impeached mean that its ok to mislead people about what the report says and do so without reading it first?

Taking the AG at his word is silly I don't disagree but that's what he said, if that's what the AG is going to stand by then we are basically screwed. Telling people to move on from something that's not going to lead to anything and is a total waste of time and energy and leads to just more bad feelings all around is a practical move even if you don't like the way she worded it.

Well those are some pretty low standards for her if its ok to mislead the public as long as the AG did it first

And if you aren't going to read the report then why even wait for Mueller to be done? She might as well have said the same thing 6 months earlier. She isn't pretty much saying it doesn't matter and the public doesn't need to know what it says.

They're not going to prosecute him for rape, so stop complaining about him grabbing your p****.

Tulsi is one of the few candidates to not sign the pledge to support the democratic nominee

And? pledges are useless, she likely won't be the nominee and her support won't make much difference for the eventual nominee either way. Not taking the pledge doesn't mean you won't do it either, just means you aren't locking yourself into supporting someone you don't believe in and it keeps you from having any other options like 3rd party etc. I still find it funny how some here seem to hate her and pretend she's not a progressive even though she supports nearly all of the main progressive policies.

No she said it's time to move on because it was, what did all of this fighting get everyone other than high blood pressure? agent orange is still president, everyone who knew he was a crook before knows he is now and everyone who supported him before supports him now. Nothing is going to change and people need to let go of the impeachment dream and all of that, it was never going to happen no matter how badly any of us wanted it to.

The problem is she was repeating the GOP false narrative about Mueller. It is one thing to want to set the thing aside for political reasons like Pelosi, but don't repeat the narrow argument the GOP had for it. Trump repeated his "no collusion" line over and over, but that was far from the only piece of the puzzle.

Trump got his narrative out there and only talked about collusion because he knew they had nothing on him for that, but that ignores huge parts of the investigation that led to many arrests. More than a few Democrats got caught repeating his propaganda. It was his version if the gloves don't fit, and it fooled far too many people.

Normally, I would agree that don't "pledge." This election is different. There needs to be absolutely no supporting a 3rd party. There should be no, 'Well, he/she isn't what I want, so I'm not supporting.' Hillary lost by 80,000 votes. That is all. It can easily be 80,000 Bernie supporters that decided to stay home in protest and people that voted for Jill Stein and Gary Johnson. There can be no chances taken this time around. The democratic candidate needs to be supported on every way possible, period.

All good reasons to not trust her and her reasons for running. If she is as progressive as you say then she has to know whoever wins is better than Trump and therefore needs to be supported. You can say that Kamala Harris doesn't have the right temperament (whatever that means) to be President while you are running but if she wins? You sure as hell need to back track on that and get in line. Although she really shouldn't even be attacking anyone given that she has no chance to win.

I trust her so little I could see her as the green party nominee. Or maybe Trump will promise her a job and she will support him.

No the time to move on wasn't before anybody got to see the report. She said this before she saw the report. She said this before any of us saw the report.

The economy has slowed. Great work all those tax cuts had.

The obvious solution is more tax cuts. When your car slows down because it's running out of gas, you put in more gas. Except, of course, in this case it's running on bulls*** and you put in more bulls***, because of course that'll work.

It is only going to get even more crazy now that Trump knows losing the election means he is going to go to jail.

We, as a country, need to be prepared for that. The House needs to be prepared for that and stop dragging their feet with holding the administration as a whole accountable.
