The End of the World: A Political Thread. A New Hope coming soon!

Yeah, I don't have that. Just some 8 pound freeweights my Dad gave me for my birthday a few years ago lol.

I will say that this week has been a bit weird at the gym. It's super empty due to it being Spring Break, but even like the doctors and nurses that usually are there when I am aren't. I'm sure they're resting up like crazy, but it's really ominous in there.

PUMP >>>>>>>>>> Coronavirus
Really didn't notice a difference at mine.

I would be in trouble without my gym. Doing rehab on my two destroyed knees and I really don't have the right equipment at home. Basically if I don't work on the knees regularly they tighten up and get really painful. They always have a spray and towels to use on the equipment even before so I hope that's ok. Been pretty normal there so far.

Kind of OT but I'm struggling to get a workout routine going. I got a home daily job, but my work hours are insane and unpredictable.

Oh well, I suppose more on topic, I'm a pro at the social distancing thing. I have no direct co-workers and spend all my work time driving this truck.

Any 24 hours gym?

Yeah but it's about 20 minutes away plus the main problem is I get my next dispatch on short notice and my shifts can be long. For example, I got my dispatch between 3 and 4pm yesterday saying I had to deliver a trailer at 3am this morning 3 hours away.

With that said, I do usually manage to get to the gym on the weekend, but during the week I want to figure out something convenient to do when I get home and wash up. Then while I'm sleeping they text me the dispatch and I'll wake up finding out what town I'm driving to.

This is loosely on topic in a way for a political thread. I do this crazy job to have a middle class income and because I see little opportunity to get a stable job without gambling on more student loan debt.

I'll probably do this job 6 months to a year then quit and move because this job market sucks. I'm also holding onto it for now because of the weird economic situation or presumed Recession coming.

The mismanagement of this pandemic should kill Trumps ability to get re-elected. Sadly his base is likely too far gone down the rabbit hole to care.

Ya idiots going to idiot. This s*** is hitting close to home for a lot of people and absolutely trump supporters are being affected by this, but will find whatever excuse not to blame trump, his admin, and republicans because they are a cult.

I went to costco this morning, line longer than black friday.

grocery stores around me have empty shelves and our long checkout lines.

It's nuts out there because of the incompetence of the white house.

I went to the store midweek. Got enough food for two weeks normal but could easily double that if needed. One easy way to get that beach body ready for summer.

Stuff is definitely getting crazy. This won't convince many of his followers, but every little bit chips into his base. We don't need to win most of them over, just steal a few like they did in 2016.

Trump won't be able to lie his way out of this one though, as the facts will be staring people in the face. His lies haven't really hit his base yet, but now upper middle class folks will be waiting in the same lines we are.

I went to the mall today and it's mostly business as usual, though the restaurant crowd is a little down. People are still out shopping and buying TVs.

It doesn't look like a national state of emergency. It might be because of this some people will just roll their eyes at the whole thing as being over blown.

I kind of think much of our economy has been this way kind of not obvious the way something like a Tennessee Tornado is.

I went to the market yesterday to get some milk and coffee creamer, spent over 45 minutes in the express lane lol. Every register was being used and all of the lines were going back into the aisles. I think it may partially be due to school closures and parents wanting to get food for their kids to have during the day but still I've never seen the store that packed even during Thanksgiving and Christmas rushes.

Sports events are cancelled. Movie theaters closed. gatherings of 100+ banned. What's the point if everyone's just funneled themselves into the markets?
