You could maybe understand why someone could legitimate vote for Trump in 2016. Maybe they hated Hillary or believed Trump was actually going to "drain the swamp" because you wanted someone anti-establishment. But how could anyone watch the last two nights where you hear all these good stories about Biden being a decent guy and knowing Trump has been a disaster especially this year justify voting for Trump in any possible way? Its pure ignorance or bigotry at this point and its inexcusable.

I just never understand how people look at Trump and not realize that he's just completely full of s*** and talking out of his a**.

I got into a huge argument with my dad over it. He hates Trump's "twitter" and thinks he should stop doing it, but he doesn't see that Trump's twitter is Trump.

I don't think they can grasp how badly they got conned, and now just live in willful ignorance.

My dad is also certain that Biden has "gone way left". That's all he's peppered with all day.

Hilariously, he accused me of not listening to Trump's speeches. Really? I listen to all of them, I don't think the people who support him actually listen. If they did, they'd see exactly what we see.

My dad is actually a pretty bright guy, but he's 10 times more stubborn. Once he plants his anchor on an idea, that's it. It won't budge.

Ego. Simple. Their ego wont allow them to admit they were conned.

Bingo. Like I said a few pages back, these people, especially white males, have been told they are always right their entire lives, they are the special ones, and have been treated as the ruling class. They cannot accept anything other than being right. So they will lie to themselves as they are being gritted and robbed.

The family and friends that are going to vote for Trump again say they don’t care about the stupid things he does or says or other s*** because they think he made this country better and will continue to make it better and the Democrats will destroy it. Honestly I think if Trump loses or wins it’s going to be mass chaos across this country. People are not going to accept either outcome. We are living in some crazy times.

Every time I ask someone to show me tangible evidence anything trump has done has made their life better, or more rewarding, I hear crickets.

I hear that it is the stock market, but then I point out how the stock market did as well if not better under Obama after tanking under Bush and that's where I lose them.

Oh I think everyone is just full of s*** and they’ve been taught especially in my area that Democrats are the boogie man. It’s crazy how much hatred I see on a daily bases on social media from people I know. I’ve never seen this much politics posted about daily since before the Trump 2016 election. It’s all people talk about in the past 4 years it got so damn annoying.

I have once Trump supporter on my Facebook friends list who is just an acquantaince who owns a business I like so I don't bother arguing with them.

Recently, he justifies firm support in Trump based on the soaring values of the stock market especially the S&P. Many people may look at this as a signal that America must have a strong economy and Trump is fulfilling one of his goals and admitedly it is historic.

Also, in this mix with this is this guy resents the Lockdown for crushing small business, but kind of at the same time couldn't imagine a 'bailout for the people' from the "Nanny State".

I think the soaring S&P is concerning as a possible Bubble or it's because a minority of e-commerce or tech companies are blowing the average despite others in the index struggling. Also, these companies may be absorbing the market share of small businesses or even mall anchor stores that are dying and apparently soon to become mini-Amazon Fullfillment Centers.

I also hear about how These Liberal Cities are failing. That statement is loaded because I think the vast majority of large metro city areas are run by Democrats so it's hard to hold up the success of Conservative Cities as a comparison.

Big cities will have problems unique to them regardless of who runs them.

These democratic led states are the states that make the United States survive. Republican led states suck the dick of democratic led states and then cry "intytlmenz r der dervel."

The S&P is soaring because the Treasury injected more money into the economy last quarter than the entire US GDP for that quarter. It's a sugar high.

Yeah the big city thing is an economic bubble about to burst. You have people making 6 figures but not being able to afford a house. The salary number looks impressive until you realize that the cost of living is massively higher.

That has nothing to do with left vs right. I don't even know how to fix it, as cities just keep booming and the bubble never seems to burst.

You know they keep saying this, and it just keeps going up. I have some small stakes in ETF's through Acorns, but I'm still sitting at like 20% profit (including company money they invest back in you for using certain products) and I'm still waiting to be losing money like I was back in March.

Is it gentrification fueled by financial and tech companies who have a small footprint in the city creating enormous wealth but not paying enough in property taxes? Sort of creating a massive distortion in surrounding real estate values, Silicon Valley perhaps a big example.

I feel like there are different versions of this that play out in America to such is a medium cities inviting a manufacturer or distribution center nearby to create jobs after giving them tax breaks, building some supporting roads or adjusting traffic for logistics, or other incentives. Then they get a mediocre return on the wages offered local workers or the city winds up further supporting them.

There is a general problem of communities becoming victims of their own success.

I also wonder if we could be looking at a Repo market if evictions happen or other assets are forfeit creating a massive opportunity for bargain real estate. This is insanely irrational if they expect to find new buyers, but I wouldn't put it past the market to put a House Flipping mentality into the situation. Maybe they think Americans crushed in the economy will accept lines of credit to get back into houses?

You should ask them how many of them actually have money invested in the stock market.

Point to tens of millions of out of work, yet the stock market is doing well.

Finally, tell them that the governmetn funneled billions of their tax money into propping up the stock market. Straight corporate socialism.

Post head said nothing is wrong. Everything is great. Changes are routine. No election interference. People's medication being delayed is overblown.

I'm trying to picture Trump doing this

Frankly I'm shocked Republicans aren't making of the kid yet
