Yup only certain kinds people are left in the Republican party; Sociopaths, Psychopaths and Narcissists. Problem has been that people who are not like this don't fully grasp the darkness in these people, the fact that their goals are to do everything and anything to get what they want or cause misery when they don't. That they hate and aim to control others because of the insignificance they feel inside and nothing is ever enough. They have been coddled and appeased and its only made them worse.
Look I'm anti Alex Jones, but Rogan has his platform and he's allowed to use it for whatever he wants. I actually listened to about half of this podcast yesterday and Rogan consistently called him out on his bulls***. First podcast of his I've ever listened to, and was pleasantly surprised. I know people hate Rogan because he tends to lean right (if you can even call it that), but come on people. Censorship and banning platforms is a HUGE part of the reason people feel alienated and up in arms about what they believe in. Can't have it both ways in my opinion.
I know this sub leans heavy left and I am a bit more center left, but calling for censorship and banning of speech (whether you agree with it or not) is not the answer.

There's definitely free speech. There's also social responsibility and Rogan has none. He should not, EVER, entertain giving a platform to people who claimed that the 20+ children that died in Sandy Hook were fake crisis actors. Someone who is responsible for facilitating lies that almost led to people getting murdered.
So, f*** Rogan.
I think if he legitimately called him out consistently as you say than I would have less of an issue but for the most part you are wrong. Deplatforming works and when you have such s***ty views you shouldn't be given credibility.
That also isn't how freedom of speech works.
Sandy Hook is one of the many things he called him out on being wrong about, told him to his face that he really f***ed that whole thing up.
I don't disagree that Alex Jones shouldn't be heard, because f*** that dude. I'm just saying that censorship on the internet is a dangerous precedent and in the eyes of their followers (Info Wars in this case) it gives them even more credibility and calls for possible violent action. Banning from Twitter/YouTube/whatever is fine because they're private companies, but to wipe everything one side disagrees with (left or right) from the internet isn't something that I agree with.
I'm sure I'm wrong in the eyes of many, but we're already screaming into echo chambers and it's doing nothing but causing even more divide in this country. Love you guys, that's all I'm gonna say on this.
Nobody that's not extreme fringe left is asking for him to be removed. BUT, him allowing a platform, regardless of calling that person out, he is participating in perpetuating fallacies that led to people almost being murdered. He has a responsibility to NEVER give someone like that a platform.
I'm not calling for Rogan to be blocked anywhere. I know he's a clickbait clown who's gotten worse and worse over the years. If he had on ted cruz, lindsay graham, shapiro, hell, even milo, kinda, but NEVER give a platform to someone like jones. He failed as someone who has a social megaphone.
Not yet, but the amount of people calling for s*** like this to happen is increasing and it's a bad look. I'm just saying we need to start nipping this s*** in the bud now before it gets out of control.
Getting back on track.....Saw a poll today where Biden is up like 13% or something according to exit polls. I'm starting to expect a slaughter on Tuesday tbh, but then Trump will drag it out for as long as he can demanding recounts and claiming election fraud along the way. I just hope it doesn't last more than a few weeks at max.
Also have a question for everyone here. What do ya'll think Trump and McConnell would try to pull if he does lose in regards to actual legislation and such? I genuinely do not know.
Free speech doesn't cover hate, threats and speech that incites violence. Parents who had to find out that their little kid was gunned down in school now have to go into hiding and be threatened by these crazies who think they are making it up. Not only do they need to still somehow process the unthinkable of losing a young child to something so awful, they have to deal with crazies as well.
This isn't about cancel culture or "wokeness" it is about taking someone dangerous off of privately owned services (it is only censorship to have the government clamp down on you). Alex Jones is the equivalent of yelling "fire" in a crowd.

I wonder if he will try to pardon himself? Or resign at like the last minute and get Pence to do it.
They will try to kill the ACA and leave everyone without healthcare. That will be #1 priority. They may convince clarence thomas to retire so they can push through a 4th justice. That's a long shot at that attempting that to happen.
