That's politics in America.
"but, but, but Trump is a Russian puppet we think." and in the same breath everyone knows Hillary is pay to play??

At least someone has the balls to not vote for the party's candidate. The rest are cowards.

John Kasich follows through on vow not to vote for Donald Trump, writes in John McCain instead

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Gov. John Kasich, who had vowed not to vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, voted Monday by absentee ballot.

His choice? Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

Chris Schrimpf, the governor's political spokesman, confirmed the write-in vote to cleveland.com and said Kasich voted straight-ticket Republican on the rest of his ballot. Schrimpf added that Kasich was comfortable picking McCain, the 2008 GOP nominee for president, over Trump, Democrat Hillary Clinton and Libertarian Gary Johnson, a former Republican on the ballot as a nonpartisan candidate.

lol, now its a vast Russian conspiracy...
You guys kill me....
Mother Jones, lol...

People are asking questions. We need to put Trump in jail until we find out what's going on.

Good that he has a spine but he should have voted for someone that also had one

It's Chris Rock's fault for the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction joke - he said that if you're over 40, they're your man's titties, but under 40 is community titty. Trump simply wanted to continue his outstanding, tremendous outreach to women and minorities and just flubbed the joke.

I mean, that's the only rational explanation. It's not like there's a mountain of evidence claiming that he's a walking pap smear / mammogram / strep test in a shiny orange package.

what happened to the whole innocent until proven guilty? No just lock him up...

I'm hoping that your response is satire to the satire in which I hope the post was made in. I will say that I seem to remember Trump saying if he did what Hillary did they'd put him in the electric chair, though of course I'm not suggesting that he should break his sterling record of not keeping his promises to go volunteer for Ol' Sparky.

How do you "lose" almost a billion dollars to avoid paying taxes on it? Lose other people's money, and then use a tax scheme your own lawyers claim is not going to withstand scrutiny from the IRS to avoid paying taxes on that cancellation of debt. And this is the business "genius?"

Business geniuses don't defraud the IRS to get credit for other people's lost money when you can't succeed in a business where the house always wins. Business geniuses, you know, *make* money.

Just poking fun @ those angered over Trump breast comparison size.

There is an outlying poll out of Florida that 28% of registered republican early voters have voted for Clinton. If this poll is even within 10% margin for error that is a huge loss coming for Trump. No way for him to win without Florida.

Hillary should still win but it pisses me off that so many Democrats voted for her just so they could say "I'm with her" and feel superior rather than trying to elect a "clean" candidate. Sanders and O'Malley would have both done much better against Trump, I doubt he'd even be anywhere near even in national polls had Hillary not been the nominee. I know it sounds like bitching and I should be over it, it's not that I hate her it's just that risking a Trump Presidency just to say you voted for a woman instead of the right woman is idiotic IMO.

I hate to disagree but the minute the right would have started slinging the word socialist around like a million times Sanders would have been toast. It would have united the right against him and also brought over some moderate democrats. The word Socialist would have been the same as Communists to them.

Sanders would have had some issues I know, he would have had to get more specific about how he was going to accomplish his goals at some point (not that Trump has either) but he also would have had higher enthusiasm with Democrats in general as well as younger voters, Republicans aren't going to vote for the Democrat so why bother trying to make them feel good about the Dem candidate? HRC is more like a left leaning republican than a true democrat in my book anyway. In reality any other Dem who's without a big scandal would have done much better against Trump than HRC, she just wasn't the right choice. I'm voting for her anyway simply because I want to give her as big of a number over Trump as possible if she wins but truly I want to vote for Jill Stein, it just doesn't make sense to vote for a candidate with no shot at the job right now.

I early voted today. I don't know what is more depressing. Having to pick between a couple of turds or just listening to the conversations batsh*t crazy people were having while standing in line. I can't believe some of these people are allowed to vote. I am beginning to wish a person would have to pass a basic civics test in order to register to vote. Just some of the examples I overheard. Clinton is a lebian, Trump is the antichrist, the holocaust never happened. One Trump supporter said he couldn't ever vote for one of our local candidates for commissioner because he cheated on his wife. :txbconfused::txbconfused::txbconfused::smash::smash::smash:

I would have held my nose and voted for Sanders, but without social media he was nothing. The only people behind him were influenced by social media. That only gets you so far and the people most influenced by it have the worst history of actually voting as well as being the the least informed IMO. I was more excited for O'Malley but he fizzled out early on. Clinton will accomplish more again IMO. She has the best track record.

O'Malley just couldn't get any coverage by the media, Sanders didn't get much either until the republican nomination was basically decided and they needed a new story to focus on.

That last sentence isn't that surprising, and intellectually consistent. For the sake of discussion, let's call the commissioner Mr. Schlongabouttown. He says he can't vote for Mr. Schlongabouttown because he cheated on his wife. He can still vote for Trump becaue he never cheated on Mr. Schlongabouttown's wife. It's probably the same reaction you'd get if you pointed out that the Bush administration deleted up to 22 million emails from a private server they were using that were also related to Congressional investigations, they'll point out Bush didn't delete any of Clinton's emails.

For some reason, society in general is sliding into a strong tribalism mentality.

True, sadly it's been going that way for a while and it's just getting worse. I still think getting rid of the electoral college and going by the popular vote would help keep candidates from going too far to the right or left which would hopefully push the crazies back in the shadows. When they really have to try to appeal to the country vs just certain states it would help keep the candidates more inline with mainstream voters and not so worried about the fringes.
