The Flash - Flashpoint Paradox - June 16th 2023 **SPOILERS**

Supergirl will be replacing Superman and Batgirl will be replacing Batman making for an all female trinity. Nobody has asked for this to happen, they only did it so they could shield the criticism with accusations of sexism. They really want to get away from Snyder's work. I don't blame them, he did drop the ball but the fans have been asking for another Man of Steel movie for years and since they couldn't come to an agreement with Cavill they are doing this.
I blame the stache

That’s it? Lol oook. Don’t see how that would ruin the movie for me if it does turn out good.
Shame of you for not thinking they should cancel every movie that triggers certain types when a woman shows up on their screen. Imagine caring about that over seeing Michael Keaton as Batman again.

Anyway its not even true in regards to Batman. Both Keaton and Batfleck are supposed to be alive based on the test screening leaks. Which is the right and maybe only approach if they want to have a DCEU. Having another prominent Batman with Pattison coexisting just doesn't make sense.

I wish they would bring back Cavill but if they aren't going to this movie never coming out wouldn't change that so "cancel this movie" requests don't really make sense.

They’ve been officially confirmed to be in there as they’re on the movie posters as well

Honestly JinCA has this weird thing when it comes to women outside of sexual preference. When I watch or play something I don’t think “why is a women in that role?”. Stay off Twitter dude lol.

It has nothing to do with me having something against women lol what a stupid take. It has to do with two major characters who people want to see on the big screen being replaced with two side characters nobody has asked for. People have been begging for a new stand alone Superman movie for years, nobody asked for him to be replaced by you know who. I'd be saying the exact same thing if it were Superboy and Robin, stop with the shallow thinking man, maybe you need to stay off twitter if your first assumption to any criticism involving a female is that it's based on her gender.

I blame studio execs and fans who went over the top for Cavill. This way they can hide behind any criticism with accusing the fans of being racist or sexist. Nobody asked for
an all female trinity
. I also blame Cavill and his agent for acting like he's a bigger star than he is and he doesn't deserve top level pay yet IMO, they jumped the gun on that and were unwilling to compromise. Refusing to do that cameo in Shazam was a bigger deal than a lot of people think.

I would be totally fine with them replacing Cavill btw I've never been a huge fan of his, he never came across as good natured farm boy to me he seemed more like a snobby jock with a whiney personality. They softened him up a little at the end of JL but before that no way, one of the worst things they wrote for him in Man of Steel was him arguing with his "Dad" saying "you aren't my real father" I don't think anyone pictures Clark talking to Jonathan Kent like that.

Or you could wait till you watch the final product first before you make these assumptions. And yes you have made comments towards women around this forum, if I remember right or I might be confusing you with someone else.

Keaton is too old now so BFD he's going to be Batman again in name only for probably 20 minutes. The fact that they are going the all female route is shallow marketing BS by people who spend too much time on twitter and think this is what the majority want. They are the ones that will cry sexism at any claim that this was the wrong move. Your attempt to make it about that shows what kind of shallow defense they'll have to that, let's insult the person and call them sexist instead of admitting that maybe it's about the actual characters not their gender.

It's not about those characters dying it's about them being replaced, Superman is being replaced by Supergirl and Batman is being replaced by Batgirl, two characters who've already had CW shows for years, two characters virtually nobody was asking for in the DCEU. Batman in the DCEU and Pattinson's Batman are two different takes they aren't even involved with each other, replacing one only makes sense if they exist in the same universe but they don't.

If I've made a comment about a woman it's because of what she has done as an individual not what she was born, if that's your assumption that's on you. When it comes to these characters it's not that I hate them because they are female I don't hate them they just aren't the characters people have been asking for,
nobody has asked for Supergirl to replace Superman on the big screen.
This is all just BS marketing nonsense from WB execs who wanted to get rid of the Snyderverse fandom any way they could, they think this will be something they can defend easily on social media. I don't blame them to an extent Snyder's movies were big letdowns for the most part and he had several chances, they should move on from him but not the characters. I'd rather they gave James Wan a shot, he made Aquaman cooler than Snyder or Wheadon did.

You have even said yourself there nothing they can do. What Batman are they replacing? Ben Affleck? Who had to step away? Who is still Batman? Who they aren't killing off apparently? Even if this is his last time as Batman you are ignoring that their intention was for him to be Batman and for there to be no other Batmen. So what are your options once Ben Affleck has to step away and they make the decision to reboot Batman? Recast Affleck? They can but they aren't going to do separate movies so that means Batmans role in the DCEU is minimal which is what is happening now.

The reality is if Batgirl doesn't exist nothing is changed. They still wouldn't have a Batman in the DCEU or there would and it would be more of a minimal role. So what is the solution?

Who gives a s*** what whiny Twitter mobs want to see on screen? Let them make the movie they want then we either enjoy it or hate it.

The whiney twitter mobs are the reason this silly choice was made, nobody was asking for
Supergirl/Batgirl to replace Superman/Batman
the loud people were asking that they get a new Man of Steel and to see more Snyderverse content, the studio didn't want to do it because Cavill wanted too much money and Snyder's movies weren't very good, a lot of people just like him personally it seems. They went this route because they think it's the perfect way to shield themselves from criticism, nobody was asking for this change but it comes with a built in defense which several of you seem to be jumping to right now.

A different Batman would only be involved in Justice League movies, if they make a new JL it won't have Pattinsons Batman anyway and Batgirl isn't popular enough to be a real replacement for him IMO. She's a side character, Nightwing and Robin are more popular side characters than she is and they aren't big enough characters to take his place in a JL film either.

This is of course assuming they are going to continue with the JL films, they may end up staying away from those for a while or totally rebooting them again. I'd be for that with a totally new cast, I've never cared for Cavill much, Gadot has no real range, Miller sucks as flash and Momoa wasn't all that great in JL but he was awesome in Aquaman. It's too bad Affleck and Fisher won't be returning as they were great in their roles. If they do come back with another JL they need to add Hawk Girl and a Green Lantern though.

You are upset because of what this could mean for future JL movies that probably will never happen? Movies that could have Batman in them anyway?

Still not clear on who Batgirl is replacing since they wanted Affleck to be Batman all along. He is Batman in this very movie and they leave the door open for him to be Batman again.

And its also really easy to hide an actors age as Batman in terms of stunt doubles. Keaton is Batman in this movie and Batgirl. Period.

No we are just pointing out this is a stupid reason to be upset which it is.

They need to just restart the DCEU and recast actors that were either miscast or won't come to terms on deals.

This was supposed to restart it. WB apparently f***ed with no win situation and can't afford a none theatrical release.
