All Kobe beef is wagyu. There is imported Kobe beef here in the States, but there are no Kobe beef cattle here. There are wagyu cattle in the States, but they're almost all crossbred and not like the wagyu that comes from Japan, nor Australia. Anytime you see "Kobe" beef in nearly every restaurant in the US, it's fake, and nothing more than prime beef. I think there are under five restaurants that actually serve real Kobe beef.
