The Witcher did fine. It was a book before the game, but I think it's known more for the game.
 
If not for the name people would say it looks like another poor Walking Dead spin off.

I only saw the one trailer and left it as is. Too much advertising and insight into the series for my likes. Although, I played the game, I rather just wait for the series to begin. It's already getting to be too much.

I’ll watch them after release, unless it’s like full bts like how they create props, sets and other art

With their own IP, yes, and I’m some other cases like Jumanji.

But when they allow others with IPs that aren’t their own, at least in the small screen space, they do ok. Cobra Kai had total freedom with what seems like no intrusion from them or Netflix….granted it started as a passion by its creators on YouTube. Oh and did didn’t product place Sony products in CK like they tend to do with everything else.
