The New Gameplay of Assassin's Creed Unity

Looking good, I love the setting and the changes they are making seem to address most of the issues with past games in the series.

I don't think the combat will be anymore memorable than before. A guy with a pike in that video got completely slaughtered by the player with no defensive or offensive maneuvers what so ever. If you make enemies block more, I think the gameplay will be a bit more challenging personally. Especially when facing multiple foes.

looks like previous creed games with a facelift,

skeptical about the comments regarding combat, laughed when he said assassin's creed is not a combat game.

It's on my radar. I always keep the AC games on my radar. The premise is amazing on paper but the games don't really measure up, but this one sounds good. I am sorry, but the ship battles were not my favorite.

The detail in the world is amazing.

I just hope it's console footage or that the new consoles match that, at E3 they were using PC's but said they were set to xbox one level of performance.

Would be getting this game regardless of what it looked like because it's an AC game, but I'm definitely pleased with what I'm seeing. Should be good.

Hope the story ends up being good, and the main character too. Doubt they can make a character on the same level as Ezio, but I'm hopeful.

Awewsomeness. I can't believe I'm expecting another one of these f***ers.

^ Seriously, that's the best fan-made game trailer EVER.

Looks good, but not sure I can stomach another Ubiwatch Farcreed game. So tired of the go to watchtower, open section of map, clear icons doing menial crap gameplay. Also, they still seem to have poor enemy AI and they still only attack one at a time.

Sounds really good. Seems they have addressed a lot of the little niggles that wore you down pretty quickly. Have to say, the new parkour set up looks sweet. A lot better, a lot smoother, more fluid and flowing. It looks a lot more organic.

I just hope they realized that a lot of the issues seem to stem from their choice to make the game too simple, too accessible. By making things a little more complicated, like adding buttons, specific stealth mode, it seems to have alleviated the issues.

Oh God...

Its like someone at Ubisoft said "Let's reinvent/reboot the Assassin's Creed franchise for next gen consoles!"

And then someone else said "No! Let's do the same s*** we always do (minor improvements to core gameplay) and just make it look pretty!"

Damn the children who allow this boring franchise to continue.

Took a break from the last 2 games. This seems to be going back to the architecture and the roots to what this game was, but better. I'll be picking this one up.

Can't disagree with you enough. This looks like an incredible game. Let's not forget about the story as well.

We "children" appreciate the condescension! I very glad you decided your tastes make you feel superior. Now you can not buy the game, and feel like like an elite human being for your first class gaming palette. I'm sure you will have many sleepless nights having nightmares of the plebs that continue to buy a game they like.

Life must really suck man, sorry to hear it....

I'm optimistic, but I can't help but think of how awesome ubisoft made the demos of AC3 and Watchdogs look, and then the full game was completely boring.

I quite liked AC 3( past the very slow beginning) and Watchdogs. I think Watchdogs was a bigger disappointment considering how it was sold, but I had scads of fun with it anyway. I just hope this new character has more depth of character than a certain vigilante- Aden Pierce has got to be the most bland non-characters out there next to Nameless Space Marine.

Well the concept in AC games and even watchdogs is downright incredible, but then game ends up being like a space marine type gameplay with a layer of coolness coated over it instead, but basically the same empty shell.

Either way the scale of making a game like this is very ambitious and has to be a ton of pressure.

I've at the very least liked the characters in AC. They have distinct and consistent personalities an actions, where Aiden Pierce is boring and all-over-the-place.

I actually like Conor the best of the AC guys (I quite like his blunt, honorable personality), followed by Desmond, Altair, Kennway( good transformation), and Ezio. I've got Ezio last because I wanted them to incorporate more of his playful personality. They are all pretty well done though, imo.

Yeah most the characters are great no doubt.

There has always been, and always will be, a sort of struggle between the intellectual class and the simple. To be honest with you, there are times when I wish I was a member of the latter.
