No. I think Microsoft downsized which is really weird with Scorpio on the horizon.

At this point it's do or die for Microsoft. They need to have a showing that no one is expecting. Sony has already announced so many games they could literally show 1 or 2 bangers and win E3.

People that think Sony ran out of ammo will be sadly mistaken. Yoshida has already mention they have Big new IP's ready for E3 2017 (adding to the onslaught of games already announced.) .

I just want MS to announce a new AAA IP that's not a shooter, a new past AAA IP - mech assault or perfect dark and a 3P exclusive like splinter cell.
also announce a drop mic moment like a KOTOR remake or new panzer dragoon saga, skies of arcadia or lost odysee 2.

Hell, you know the gaming media; they could just announce eleven different FF VII remakes, coming annually from 2020 - 2030, and they will win the internet. They already "won" E3 a few years back with a collection of games from the 1990s, after all.

You yourself may be satisfied with Xbox but there are mans people who are not. They haven't had a prestige franchiseas since Gears. They also quickly give up on IP's with AAA budget. If you ar into game like Kameo and LO chances are there won't be sequel to these games. Coming from a person who grew up with Xbox I'm really disappointed in how MS is handling things. Halo Gears and Forza can't save them every year. They need successful triple New IP's in a variety of genres. LO2 can really help MS at thisgen.

I agree they need more new IP, but you can't expect MS to deep dive into new games that didn't set the world on fire either. It's a two way street, and the most effective communication is sales.

I agree with you in general. But Lost Odyssey 2 isn't going to move the needle at all. It would just be a good game for a niche audience. Which is fine. Microsoft needs to release a few crowd pleasers like that that they know won't sell amazingly well.

I'm not satisfied with Microsoft as far as games go. But who knows what they have up their sleeve as far as games go in the future.
Sequels to Kameo and LO2? Really? I would hope they would do better than that.
All I'm saying is we keep hearing Microsoft needs to do this or that or they need a big E3. Microsoft can have their biggest E3 ever and yet people will still call it s***.

Yeah....this is bulls***. Halo, Gears and Forza are still very much juggernaut franchises. We dont know the numbers of the most recent releases, but there's a reason why these titles still make a huge splash with every release. This believing that MS are using these 3 to "save" them is ridiculous. They're BILLION dollar franchises, FFS. Do you really believe its because no one wants them any more, or that their old and washed out? lol.

And again, the narrative has changed since the Playstation wont have the power advantage any more. Funny that, seeing as how that is all this generation has been about while at the same time, exclusives "didn't matter." Now that Playstation is finally seeing a big release again (Horizon is ONE game), exclusives are all the rage when at the beginning, it was all about 3rd party games. MS has had many exclusives since the beginning of this gen with more on the way not to mention 3rd party games.

I'm just as intrigued by Horizon as everyone else, but its ONE game. Hell, I even stated how I was jealous of Playstation gamers for Horizon - it looks phenomenal. But one game does not an end of a console make. Especially considering this year is all about Scorpio and will remain that way until it releases. Opinions are one thing -- radical opinions are something else.

Why is it bulls*** that he wants more than that? He isn't saying they should cancel those franchises.

I know you like to push your agenda of how it was all about power and you are absolutely right in that many did make a big stink about power but the opposite was also true for the first couple years when the "PS4 had no games". Fanboys flip flop so stop trying to make it seem like Xbox fanboys aren't just as guilty.

For the record though it has been more than just Horizon

I'm not saying Sony is going to do that. But they could have announced TLG / Shenmue 3 / a FF remake a long ass time ago, and honestly, your quote says exactly my point: "FF is seen as a Sony franchise." It's not, but it's perceived that way because #SonyFACTs.

Really looking forward to what Sony has to show this year. Microsoft might have Scorpio coming but 2017 is the year of the PS4. So many games already coming and even more that we don't know about. No way they showed all their cards already.

First off Yank, I don't need to push any agenda - I think what I think and share my opinion, not to mention enjoy the games I play regardless of whatever's happening.

FFS, there is a s*** load of flip flopping, goal post moving etc. This entire generation was hell bent on the power advantage the PS4 held over the One. Its not coincidence that suddenly the narrative has changed seeing as how the Ps4 and the Ps4 Pro will no longer be able to sustain that advantage. You seem to get a bit riled up when someone states the truth, quite frequently actually. This isn't about Xbox fanboys flipping jack s***. This is simply about the narrative change once those certain bullet points certain "other" fanboys used to sling to high-heaven, no longer apply. People are getting called out on it, and Sony gamers don't like it.

Its also true that the Ps4 didn't have many games at the beginning of this gen and Xbox came with many. They've also released more exclusives than Sony since that time. Exclusives have been a pretty big staple since the beginning of this gen with Xbox. I understand Horizon is a new successful franchise for Sony, but this is something the Xbox community has been enjoying since the start. The only reason Sony fans are shouting from the roof tops now, is because of this ONE game. How that translates into the Xbox community suddenly lacking in exclusives because of ONE game is a bit.....confusing.

I also get that many Sony gamers like those Japanese type games, but they really aren't my forte. That's just my opinion. I think they insult gamers for the most part. Teeny-bopping teenager s*** is redonkulous.

Fanboys flip flop. Its part of what makes them fanboys. Nothing too shocking about it. They also will pretend their console has all the games and the other has none and they tend to like to pretend their side's fanboys are right and the other are wrong. Nothing worth getting worked up over.

I think a lot of people are reserved about Scorpio, most understand MS isn't attempting to push games like they used to. They need more than 4k ports, a lot more.

What has Valve done in terms of exclusives since Half Life 2? I miss the pre-Kinect MS 1st and 2nd party exclusives however I'm playing devils advocate here. I do think that MS could be successful while relying primarily on multiplats. They could have success being a great service and being the best place to play 3rd party games. They have the controller, Azure, an innovative ecosystem, and soon will have the hardware. Despite losing list wars, the sales this gen are 90% multiplatform games. It was the same last gen.

It's not far fetched to think that MSs biggest long term competitor is Steam, not Sony. Ironically if MS is successful uniting console and of gaming, it could lead to such a large potential consumer base that it'll be far more profitable for them to invest in a lot more of their own games.
