The Official Huck It Chuck It Football 2023-2024 Thread

So if he gets signed... I was right and you were wrong.

I was wrong? Take a look at this post from two months ago

Players in demand don't get signed in week 10

What week is it?

So you're saying there's a chance if Touchdown Jesus or Beat-hard get injured, Tebow could rejoin the Jags?

On our way to Cowboys to pregame. Excite!

If they play like last Sunday I’m going to request to a security person to get Jerry up to us in person to apologize and give us a refund.

I like Collinsworth alright, plus Buck is a really good play by play guy. Sure he's had his bad calls (a heinous act) but he's really good

I just hope there's enough streaming broadcasts, etc., for Tony Boselli to get another shot at a TV gig. I know he does some radio for Westwood One and has done the Jaguars radio calls and TV preseason in the past. Of course, I'm also hoping some day he gets into the Hall of Fame.

Went to a buddy's bachelor party in 2019 and Tony Bosselli was the horn ringer or whatever it was called then. I also took a tour of the stadium (owners box is f***ing sick) and saw his radio booth. Cool to see his name all over the place, I know he's a legend in DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUVAL

PS The pregame deal we got was like unlimited food and beer inside the stadium and it was a great time. Would highly recommend lol

PPS It was a f***ing awful game against the Saints. Here's a recap if you wanna relive it with me

Nah, I'm cool with not reliving the game.

Before they renovated the stadium for the Super Bowl, I ran the giant matrix display board (essentially, the giant lite brite that was next to the jumbotron) and the ribbon display panels during most of the events there (I didn't do Monster Trucks or concerts, some minor sports stuff, etc). But the control room for the equipment was in the suites area, so I got to see a lot of those up close (even if I didn't get to go in) and when we went in early enough, we occasionally could eat in the media area, which was usually pretty good food.

One of my top three memories of that time though was a Saints-Jaguars game. The Jags were up 7, and the Saints had the ball at like their own 25 or some such. My spotter and the guy who in theory was entering out of town scores started packing up and I was like "That's awful presumptious of you!" Of course, they're like, yeah, but this game is over.

Then this happened:

Now, once the first play actually ended, I pretty much stood up, walked in front of all the other guys and did a full Michael Kelso double pointed "Burn!" and got started getting ready for overtime. But just like they learned not to call it prematurely, the missed XP (which was to keep the Saints' playoff hopes alive) kind of taught me to follow that lesson too.

(Oh, and Dan Snyder is a tiny little troll. Rode in an elevator with him.)

Remember when sports media was considering Cowboys one of the top teams in the league?…. good times…

The Cowboys IMO are frauds. Look at the teams they've beaten and the teams they've lost to. Outside of the Charger and Patriot wins, there is alot of discrepancy between the teams they beat and the ones they loss to. We got a mediocre coach, average QB and middle of the road defense. Sure we'll make the playoffs by the nature of the NFC east, but it wouldn't surprise me if they lost and lost bad in the wild card round.

I don’t like McCarthy at all he sux. I wouldn’t call Dal an average QB then again the o-line when it’s good and the weapons he has boost his stats to top level.
