How many of you are pulling this off? I did this with ps3, but I do it with every game released if I change my mind, I just stroll around about a 5 mile radius starting at 11:45 PM Picked the smallest line and jump in it waited for all the reserved ppl to finish and bam, like 3 systems leftover.

I'm thinking this year, I'll probably hit kmart, walmart, then probably bestbuy in that order, then ebay or keep it.

I live in a small town with a Walmart and Gamestop so I could probably find one just don't have the cash.
 
Anyone looking to get a ps4 at midnight are probably already in line. This thread will probably be full of stories tomorrow.
 
I only ordered 1 and want 2.

My guess is it won't be hard to find one in a week or 2.. demand is high for these consoles but companies are able to manufacturer devices a lot faster than we've ever seen in past console generations.
 
I'm going to try and get one tomorrow but I doubt I will. Should have preordered I guess. I really want to play NBA and Resogun.
 
I'm going to try Target first thing in the morning. My target isn't a super target, therefore, they're not doing a midnight release. Doubt I'll get lucky, but it's worth a try.

I just called gamestop(never do) and like 6 people dropped their preorders today so I snuck in there, I'll have a ps4 tonight :) 6 hour preorder.

I called Target earlier today, and the lady told me they'd only have enough for pre-orders, but my cousin up north told me he knows someone that works for Target, and said they say that only to avoid a line of people. I'm hoping there's some truth to that.
 
I canceled my Amazon preorder the other night(I know, wtf?)

Costco it is. My strategy is to get there just at the right time, not too early, not too late. Wish me luck!
 
I grabbed a 2nd PS4 from Amazon last night, will be here tomorrow.

So without pre-ordering I'd have had one a day late.

VaLLiancE, see what I'm saying mang? These marthafalkers are producing an epic crapton of units.. I don't think anyone has anything to worry about as long as they have the patience to wait a week or 2, if that.

How did you order one from amazon last night? I have it set to email me if any are available and didn't get a message. I just tried now and all the packages are unavailable. Do you live outside the US? If you are that could explain why its different for me.

No I am in the US (Seattle.)

People posted that they were available.. there was the PS4 / Kindle Fire 7" bundle but they also had standard bundles in stock at Midnight Eastern time (so 9PM for me.)

Must have sold out again then. I am getting one today, but had considered selling it and getting one later but have been on the PS4 email waiting for 2 months. Thanks for the reply.

That's unfortunate they didn't alert you, but it was some sort of "sepecial" deal to sort of mimic a midnight launch.
 
My Walmart received 40 units and they said pre orders only. Line wasn't' very long at midnight either.
 
Both my Walmarts have them in stock as of 2pm this afternoon. The Best Buy is sold out. The Costco and Sam's club are only selling bundles.
 
Yes, I did get one!

I didn't need to be there that early but going on past experience I thought I'd better be safe than sorry. Ran into some dudes who worked at Costco, were waiting to get PS4s and who were in line with me at the launch of the Xbox 360...8 years ago...lol They let us in before the store opened, around 7:45am, to buy the console. It was me....and the rest were employees! Everyone else must have gotten one at midnight, preordered online or went to other stores.
