Sad day, the boss of my location announced 50 people (out of 400) need to be laid off. Not sure if I will be affected, but people near retirement age (58 & above I think) get an offer of early retirement for 90% or so percent of pay until early retirement date ( I think 63 or something).
I mean, most locations are affected due to the COVID & automotive decline, & many other locations have it worse, so I have to see what happened. Can't work after the announcement.

Will the 58+ count towards the 50? If so, lol when someone declines the offer and their close working buddy who's under 58 gets laid off.
It does count. I am for sure not going around telling who should be retired. If I am in their group I will take the offer, but I am not, & it's not my place to tell people who should resign or retired.
Well, not sure about getting hired when 58+ but I confess I don't know how sought after old people are in the amerikan work space.

I hate Chevy now and that's a Cobalt aka death trap. That Dno fella can tell you what a pos those things are. I was gonna get a new vehicle this year before the pandemic stuff and ruined plans.
