Working on getting another job lined up in the middle of a pandemic / recession. I just can't stand my current job anynmore.
I really hope this works out, it would be yard trucking shuttling trailers and have a consistent schedule. I think the 16.50 is kind of a lowball wage but there is a little overtime.

As long as you don't crash your economy totally, get a new job asap, nothing worse than having to think about how you've spent half your waking time doing something you don't like.
Money isn't everything, that's something I've been having a hard time understanding until recently.

I hated waking up when I was going to school during the winter and having to watch (listen) to the TV people read off all of the school closings. Before they could scroll them at the bottom of the screen, you'd have to listen to them being read and my county was near the bottom of the list and I'm still mad about it.
On top of that, we'd have to listen to Indiana and Ohio closings before they'd mention the KY counties.

My mom got real confused when I was in the fourth or fifth grade and thought we had the day off when we had a delay. Delays are so f***ing stupid. Then when I was a freshman in high school, I went to school not thinking anything of the weather when we had a delay, then eventually a cancellation. I was wondering why my first period teacher wasn't there. I spent the afternoon playing the Half-Life: Uplink demo with Montel Jordan's "This is How We Do It" on a loop. It was great. I'll never forget that s***.
Got a voice mail saying the SSA, Social Security Administration, has filed a lawsuit against me and issued a arrest warrant.
I don't know what to say. They finally went with something different instead of the daily "You can get half off your DirecTV bill" scam. FINALLY!

Started training for new job. It's kinda meh work, but the main benefit is much better time off and hometime. It has long 12 hours shifts, but that will create a shorter work week in the long run.
I don't have a lot of enthusiasm for being a Trailer Jockey, but I hope I can use this schedule to relax, enjoy my apartment amenities and local town more, and mainly learn new skills or build up side gig work. The dream job goal would be to be Freelancer or Digital Nomad and travel on my terms working anywhere.
I wish my last job worked out. It was okay at first but the industry was given lenience on regulations because of Covid19 and they abused that leeway and burned me out with overwork.
