Was driving home today and got my car totaled by some fool running a red light. Feeling okay, ears ringing a bit, body is sore as hell but should be okay. Waiting for the word from the adjuster but that thing has to be done for. I was already in the market for a new whip and nobody was severely hurt. Taking suggestions for new vehicle! Was slightly emotional watching them take away the shattered carcass of my 2010 Corolla. Was an old war bird and we’d been through a lot. I was intent on ridin’ till it died but nature had other ideas. Thank GOD my wife wasn’t with me though.

What’s your needs and wants?

the current model year of Corolla are quite nice, some only have type c ports lol my biggest complaint would be them hella noisy tires. Oh and you can get it with a manual :D

I frickin loved my Corolla man. Drove that thing all over the earth and biggest stuff I ever did was do the brakes once and replace a couple coils and spark plugs. LOL. But we’re gonna need something bigger with a baby coming. I’m thinking about getting an SUV. Probably won’t buy new, but nothing heavily used either, gonna depend on pricing. I don’t really want or need a $400 car payment right now.

Camry, current gen used? Love that you can get it with a Panoramic roof. Don’t get a TRD, you’ll lose out on the pass through.

You could probably find a good deal on an older Avalon, if ya need more room and enjoy chill driving. I think it looks better than the Camry but it’s got the stigma that it’s for old people, it’s hi m honestly their market.

Ohhhhhhh dude, the Mirai, I dono what state you in, but with all the incentives they got stacked up and the fact that it’s kinda a hard sell since it uses hydrogen they go for like the mid 20s

but you may want to sit in a rav4 or highlander, both roomy in the passenger compartments but the space in the back may be a determining factor for you.

And there’s nothing wrong with getting a mini van or wagon.

My brother has a Rav4, caught my eye. Good advice, will have to look into the
options. Actually kinda excited to get a new car, it was definitely time. Just never like it to happen this way lol

That happened to me once. Was going to college at the time driving a used Pontiac turned left onto a 4 lane street. The outside lane stopped for the red so I couldn't see the a****** in inside lane was still going.

Only satisfaction for me is after they ripped up my front end they lost control having a massive crash into a pole.

Today though, I am a happy Toyota RAV4 driver. I work as a truck driver and to drive a car low to the ground feels freaky to me, so I really like how the RAV4 sits. I will say the RAV4 could use more power, but it is a decent fuel economy vehicle for it's size. It does also have decent space in the back.

Maybe trade up to a TRD or Prime, maybe any of the hybrid variants, they have like 300hp and AWD…you will notice/feel the difference.

Sorry about your car bud. Look into small or mid sized suvs in my opinion. That's what I'm gonna do whenever my car (2008 Hyundai Elantra) finally kicks the bucket.

Got my eyes on something like a Ford Escape

Glad you ok man. I have a 2015 Nissan Rouge and I love it. Got it around 4 years ago. Good gas mileage, nice room, has all the digital stuff and Bluetooth, reverse camera, and I’ve never had any problems with it. Has been a good family car for us. They’re decently priced.

I cannot speak for all, but where I live, Hesse region of Germany, its pretty okay.

Anyway I hit a milestone with my 3D print project, so I thought of sharing. I post more WIP in the 3D print & hobbyist thread.

After some thoughts, I decide to focus on 1:6 (or 6th) scale as final size for my model. This means I need to split the model as my 3D printer is not large enough to print the whole model.

But before that I need to make a base.

This project start out as a concept on a paper.

Once I am done, I will print it (obviously) & if everything is okay, I will post it on a 3D print site, like https://pinshape.com/ so anyone can print it. It will be free.

Edit: I get feedbacks about the butt, that the buttcrack is too tight...I will add wrinkles & smooth out the butt area so she looks like wearing pants but not yoga pants.
Can you make me a life sized one?

Stormy with a chance of Wine.

Chilling in the apartment. Massive rain downpour and some wind gusts. My apartment floor is elevated not ground level so not worried about flooding.

Most of my concerns about this storm relate to my stupid job and my commute. I haven't heard anything from them about Monday morning.

Was windy early on then calm for about 2 hours. Picking up another rain band now with some gusty wind. At least the warehouse is acting as a wind breaker where I work.

Wish I could have stayed home today.

I completed the digital part of the 3D print (unless there are issues in printing & I have to return to edit) . Next step is to print all the subparts

Here is a turntable. Its 1:6 scale. But its 3D print, so you can rescale if you want.

Here are the pieces breakdown.

Do you ever read something on this forum that you posted, but you don't even remember posting it and you kind of feel like your looking at the post as if it was posted by someone else?

Yeah.

I also see posts I made and get mad at the person who posted something so stupid and then realize I'm the one who posted it.
