Spicing up your profile can work wonders. Try not to be boring on there. What kinds of pictures are you using? Being active and wearing good clothes is a nice start. How old are you if you don't mind me asking?


I've used these apps very successfully in the past lol. Met my current girlfriend on Bumble and it's going great.

Yes, many times as a late teen, early 20 yo.
Happened almost exclusively the night after a drunken night and always when sleeping on my back (which I never do otherwise, I guess the tiredness from drinking make me fall asleep easier).
It's scary s***, worse scares I've ever had.
You can't move or speak but I could move my eyes and saw something dark, like dark smoke in the periphery of my sight... It usually just lingered there or sometimes whispering closer and closer. I always snapped out of it screaming like a little girl.
Freaky s***.
Never had it since then...I don't drink my brains out often anymore and always make sure to fall asleep on my stomach.

Not that.

But one time while sleeping in the back of a Sleeper Cab Semitruck on my break at a truckstop, somebody hit me and rocked the cab. They tore off the right front of my truck. The driver was trying pull in parking and didn't go wide enough, so their trailer ripped up my truck.

I can understand that, but also, going to a standalone web site and engaging on a 2010-era web forum is pretty nuts. Even if UnionVGF moved to a subreddit, it would be better and not be so totally isolated, in which the population can only go down.

There was a unionvgf discord that was started shortly after we migrated to this site.

There were only like a few members in there so.. kind of died out lol.

It's a culture shift, for sure, but I worry that this place is just going to wither to nothing and people will just scatter to the wind, kinda like WCG did. I have a Discord that I've invited people to when it was just starting, but now it's a lot more active. I'd love to see this place in a new format that can grow again.

But that's obviously up to everyone here.

I’d say never. I have 100% control here. Going elsewhere I lose that and then have to abide by their TOS. The TOS here is me.

We’re already going on nine years here. That’s longer than any of the other spin-offs, by a lot, and nearly as long as the original Teamxbox. I don’t care about having many more users. This forum is for the “Us,” the ones who migrated from TXB and the spin-offs, and the few that have come along the way.

Hell I almost do need an ATM at the house for the cost of renovations these days. Eight grand to have the staircase redone. Five grand for carpet for four bedrooms. Fifteen hundred for a chandelier. Shiit adds up fast.
By the time the basement is added in it'll be around 80 to 100k. And that's with me doing some of the easier stuff myself like framing and drywalling.

It was 75F yesterday. Went to bed and woke up to a freezing house. Outside temp was 36F. Temp drop of 40 degrees overnight.

I guess people who suffer from it daily/weekly have to go on strong prescription pain medication.
