The "Show off your gaming station" thread

I'm pretty sure you've posted the details somewhere before, but just so I don't have to go searching, how much did this setup cost you?

The projector was 700 euros. I don't have a screen yet. I also had to paint the walls, but if you don't need to do that, it should be just the projector. :)

I haven't mounted the projector to the wall or ceiling yet. but that should be around 50 euros or so. It's the Optoma HD131xe. :)

Went from VGA projector to 50 Inch plasma around the time of 360 launch. Few years later went with 60 inch plasma, recently got back to the TRUE bigscreen gaming (110 inch) with a projector. Painted the walls and ceiling in my living room dark purple and these are the results:

There is something to be said about playing Forza Horizon or GTA V or ANY awesome game on such a huge screen(wall). It will be even better when i get a screen for it. I cannot wait to see how Xbox One and PS4 games look on it.

Why is the top right corner if your picture cut off?

I could never get into projectors, the image quality just isn't there compared to a decent TV.

Wow, that`s great.

And all pictures in this thread have it sow clean, here where I am all messy, too much stuff , too little space for all (don`t think I will post any pictures before get cleaned up ).

It's cutt off because of the angled wall on the right and i can't project onto the lower part of the wall yet. I'd need to mount the projector to my wall or ceiling for that. This is just temporary. Projectors weren't able to compete with the picture quality of HDTV for a long time, but it really is very close now. If you can get your room dark enough, sit away from a decent distance, it can look absolutely amazing and very very close to a plasma or lcd. And such picture quality on a 100+ inch screen is something man.

Quality not the best (taken with mobile phone cam)

Yes, I use to have much open , switching between each day.
I know could have stored much of it as bookmarks.
I'm the same way but not usually as bad as that pic. Whenever I have something I want to look into at some point I just keep it open in a tab. I feel like if I close the tab I'll forget all about it.

My "gaming station": Two 50" Panasonic TC-P50S60 plasmas, two PS4's (which you can barely see), our old 360's and of course two comfy leather recliners .

Yeah, the wife and daughter both like to game online, so we invested in our game room over time. My daughter actually has a nice setup in her room as well, but she only has an Xbox 360 at the moment. We decided to only put the new PS4's in the main gaming room here at launch. That is proving to be a mistake, because I can't keep my daughter out of there. Ha ha....We have played BF4 multiplayer the past couple of nights after work and the daughter and I rotate between matches while the wife gets to play the entire time. Gotta keep the queen bee happy

I wish I could get my gf into gaming like it seems you have gotten your wife and daughter into it.

Yeah, it's all sh*ts and giggles until they get better than you  The wife went 16-0 in one BF4 team deathmatch last night and I haven't stopped hearing about it. She even reminded me when we woke up this morning to go to work ..Ha ha. Good times.

My son got this and I was playing it today and it is ugly as hell, especially multi-player. I can't imagine how bad last gen must look

Moving into house next week. I'll post my set up then. It won't be ideal, since my tv room is currently our bedroom until we finish the second floor, but it'll do.

What is in the top right corner?

That is because the projector is shining onto the upper part of the wall. but when i eventually mount the projector to the ceiling it will be shining/projecting lower on the wall. I can't scale it more down neither, so i just have to manage until then.

How do you play on that small ass monitor. X_X

24" isn't small to me, especially that close up. I prefer low input lag monitors for online games over big screens with over 10ms (not to be confused with 'response time').

The TV is for TV, Movies and Single Player games.

Ahh I didn't realize it was 24 inches. the one that seems to be hooked up to the xb1 seems so tiny. 24 inches is plenty big enough though =D

I can show you a messy version since I am moving into a bigger place in 2 months so I am in no hurry to redo my room.

XB1

360 - I have added like 8 more games to this giant 360 collection.

That's because the Xbox One is big, in scale to the picture. :)

Neither can he since he's lost a corner.

I may even decide to project larger than that when i buy a screen, but i am not sure yet. Either way, i can never go back to small screen gaming. I am absolutely amazed by how crisp and good it still looks, despite the picture being enlarged so much. I can't wait for the next-gen to come here in Holland.
