He's done a lot for this site and it took me asking him twice but @Anderson finally accepted the job. He completes a team of past mods, @Li Tan, @wshowers, @Ketto, @Aqua Snake, who became a mod the same day I did at TXB, and the new blood, @blue, in helping out the site. I really like the team we put together. They're a all level headed and rational and will do wonders for the forums. Thanks Anderson and thanks to the rest of the team.

I know I said I wasn't interested, but when Plainview asked, I changed my mind, figured why not, I already act like a mod half the time anyway, might as well get the signing bonus and salary to go with it.

Tumorman, if you put a little more hair on that guy, add about 20 pounds to his gut, put glasses on him and make the full beard a goatee, that would look a little like me. ... although I generally wear pants.

Kidding aside, I appreciate being appointed moderator and will try to do a good job. I'll try to be fair and reasonable. After being around TXB for 12 years, I have a pretty good sense of where the lines are.

Got to say, being a mod now is a lot more laid back than it would've been at TXB. Plains, Showers, and the other guys spent a year or two squashing bots over there. I got the cushy gig. Not a bot in sight.

.. But it's too late for your hazings, puny Earthling, I have full mod privileges, and I am intoxicated with power. Yea, upon this night, I have already moved two threads! Two threads I say! Tremble and cower before me. This is merely the beginning of my reign of terror ... or my reign of mild apprehension, anyway.

Congrats Anderson, you did a good job putting together list of TXB members , not many would have taken their time to do that.
 
You Mods must be very bored. Got the title. Got the power., but you got nothing to do. No spammers. No bots. Seems pretty much everybody is posting with in reason and being relatively civil to one another. :eek:

This. Hell it seems everyone is behaving as well.

All in all the new forum was exactly what this group needed so well done to those that got it going.

Maybe one day a week we should just all post about Ugg boots and Kitchens? Just to let the mods know we're thinking about them.
