You don't get more overly staged than what the wwe offers.
(Undertaker vs AJ anyone?)
I have issues with both but...
wwe has been slightly improving and AEW has been on the decline.
Using a match from early in the pandemic that wasn't even advertised as a wrestling match. WWE did a few of those and so did AEW.
Let's talk about actual matches.
AEW is a circus act with lots of flips and s*** with very little story telling.
And punk didn't even have the balls to directly name anyone. He didn't slay anyone and went off in a sulk again.
WWE might over produce at times(see backstage segments on NXT with multiple camera cuts and even sound effects which just ruin things) but the AEW lot just go from spot to spot without much thought into why.
Oh and let's not forget that if they only answer Tony has for trying to get someone over... blade yourself or do something that could seriously injury you.

AEW is far from perfect but....
WRESTLING wise AEW still puts out higher rated,better matches.
NXT is the actual circus that on it's way out of town.
Raw is a joke and NXT is dying.
The industry cares about Meltzer and hes not the only one who prefers AEW over wwe matches.
If someone actually gives a s*** about what Meltzer thinks they need to get off of the internet for a while, the guy makes s*** up and his opinion means nothing it's just a subjective point of view like the rest of us. Hey may watch more Japanese content but that doesn't make his opinion any more valid than yours or mine, we just aren't sketchy enough to make up some BS and pretend we have a newsletter that's worth paying for.

Not going to lie I kind of like that the guy headbutted him only because the wrestler crossed the line first. If he had ripped up a sign that's one thing but he actually flipped the guys hat off, I doubt that wrestler would have just let that guy do the same thing to him.

We all say the women's wrestling in WWE is really good and one of their strong suits, but they need to give these belts some decent coverage on the air. There's no reason they shouldn't be defended at least at the PPV's. Throw teams together, who gives a s***.
I'd be rightfully pissed too if I wasn't being listened to for months on end regarding the tag titles.
Obvious thing here is that WWE will just drop the Women's Tag Titles.

Would love to see it. Both of them would fit extremely well and Candice LeRae was done in NXT let's be real. She'd be a very very welcome addition to the women's roster in AEW. Johnny would fit any mold of anywhere he went, just hope he's given a little freedom is all.
Miro would be nice, been loving him ever seen he debuted in WWE.
Tag teams are rarely the featured product and I'm a big tag team wrestling fan. The only reason the Usos and RKBro are getting the attention they are is because Roman is likely going to have a reduced schedule. The women's tag division is awful btw and their women's division probably only has about 7 or so very talented girls that I've seen to begin with so evey saying they have a tag division is a joke, there are only women's tag titles because they are trying to act like they treat women's wrestling the same as the men. Most of them are trying hard but that's all I can say is that they are trying, I rarely see a womens match that doesn't feature Charlotte or Becky in it that's worth watching and even then I can always count on Charlotte missing her moonsault to the floor lol.
I never have liked it when the ramp stays level with the ring all the way across, I always hated when NWA/WCW and some WWE shows did that back in the 80's and 90's. Something about it has always looked cheap to me plus it's always awkward for wrestlers to navigate it when they aren't used to it.

I've been getting back into wrestling as of lately, most watching stuff on youtube, and mainly just watching Impact Wrestling. All I can say is that Josh Alexander and Moose are probably my favorite guys. I need to start watching more of the shows instead of youtube clips though. Enjoying the Honor No More vs Bullet Club feud as well. Never though Impact would be able to patch things up with NJPW, but here we are. Also, PCO is love. PCO is life.

It's coming from Meltzer so I wouldn't put much stock in it but HHH himself has already been shown to be back at work so that's good.
