The first part sounds believeable. Not sure what to think of MS investing in Epic and Black Tusk working on multiple projects.....maybe. But aren't they a rather small team? 343i not only making Halo games sounds like a really good thing, but i highly doubt that. Wasn't it already stated that they ARE doing solely Halo stuff now? No fog and 720p at E3....what does he mean with fog? Either way, no more 720p would be very good, so far that has only been KI and CoD, right?

'Fog' is referring to some xbox fanboys criticizing some PS4 games supposed use of fog effects to hide some graphical problems. But this isn't a vs. thread so I won't discuss further.

I don't think we know the size of Black Tusk...PV had a nice article a couple days ago, but I find it odd that even though they seem to be a 'supergroup' of developers, very little is known about them to the public. I heard rumors that what they showed at last E3 was more or less a tech demo, and not indicative of their new IP. But that's rumor so who knows. I'd love to see PGR, and it makes sense, but who knows?

The unanswered question for me is: "Are some X1 games being limited by weaker hardware, or is it just that the architecture is more difficult to program for, so it's potential is far from being realized?" The answer varies depending on who you talk to. I don't know enough about tech to comment, but I have a tough time believing that new hardware is being maxed out already. Maybe it's wishful thinking though..?

Nah i don't believe that for a second. That would mean Ryse is the best Xbox One can do, while that is not even 100% a Xbox One game built from the ground up. Nah i expect to see some very impressive looking exclusives during E3. It's just a matter of time to see how the whole multiplatform games situation will end up though. I think it's the latter man. I think what that one developer told Digital Foundry about the Direct X driver that is causing some problems and like Arthur Gies last year said...some dev tools in general are not finished yet, this is what causes those differences. I believe that. We should see the real outcome of that in a few months i expect.

From the previous thread from Menace UK:

I put the Epic investment down to a misunderstanding over the Gears deal.

Black Tusk, from what I gather is 100+ strong. So pretty big and big enough to handle multiple projects. Now, Halo...maybe that is a misunderstanding too, and what is really meant is they will branch off in to different genres ?

Not sure on the Fog...maybe a reference to the poor clarity often seen with 720P games.

Black Tusk were former MS Victoria members, right? What games have they worked on? Yeah about Halo seems right. Maybe they will bring another Halo Wars perhaps.

Just curious, why do the Xbox One threads keep getting locked and re-made?

Oh snap! Another Xbox One thread.

The rumor about what Black Tusk was working on before the whole Gears of War thing happened, was that it was to "Mission Impossible" what Uncharted was to "Indiana Jones." Then again before that they were said to be working on a lot"space horror shooter."

Thread size affects performance of the site.
Ahhh, I see. That's weird. I was assuming the discussion was getting out of hand lol. I'm like...damn, that many heated debates going sour?

I can't go into the details of it, so don't ask, but I just took a very interesting survey for MUR; peeked my interest a bit.

I though the whole not being 1080p was because of tiles. So what's the problem. If it looks good it looks good. I think its up to Halo to show what the X1 can do as far as all this mumbo jumbo goes. You can't expect 3rd party developers to do stuff for the 1 if MS own studios haven't done it yet. Just wait be patient.

maybe how many posters on GAF really think CBOAT was EKIM? That is what we all want to know after all.

Can't say specifics. ;) I'll just say that there could be something interesting in the pipeline for the future.
So all you can tell us is something may or may not happen but you cant say anything? So we are no more informed than we were before but now we dont know what you know, sweet, thanks.

Not true, now you know that my interested has been piqued by what was in the survey. :p

Anyways, whats everyone playing mostly these days?

Killer instinct, BF4, followed by occassional peggle, dead rising, and rivals for me. I have just about every good launch game, and like them all, but these get most my time. Not getting too excited for titanfall, as I want to keep my expectations realistic

Currently Tomb Raider( love it), Forza, and Halo 4(again!)
played through Ass Creed4(100%)
DR3(S ending)
BF4( also my least favorite due to issues)
Peggle2 (finished but haven't really been chasing the challenges)
RYSE(beat on all difficulties, lol)

Plenty of good stuff. I'm thinking of that Max game and the Halo Arcade game.
It's scary when I think of how much sleep I've given up in the last couple months seeing as I can't play till the wife and kids are asleep.:bang:

Last one didn;t even get to 50 pages. Seems a very low number to re-fresh threads at. Isn't a big deal though, as it doesn't make much difference to us posters.
Maybe because the last one started to turn into a versus thread the mods decided to end it prematurely in hopes that the conversation would get back on track with a fresh start?

By starting with a post with similar implications ?
