The game is graphically very impressive and the animals are sooo well designed :). Some of them even have camouflage that was so well designed that you just walk by them until looking closer :D.
 
I keep wanting to be impressed by this game, but I'm just not. I guess I'm just not cut out for JRPGs.
 
Plainview should have it where balloons stream down the homepage whenever someone posts in the Nintendo forum.
 
I'm impressed by the game. I've always been a big JRPG fan, and this is shaping up to be a good one.
 
Maximilian has the Japanese version and was streaming it yesterday, although I think it was a friend actually playing it. Looks pretty good though. If you care to see the recorded playthrough here it is:

Just a heads up for anyone buying this.. there are four DLC packs available that improve loading times. Comes in at a hefty 12GB for all of them so get downloading now.
 
My copy will be here tomorrow. Already downloaded the DLC packs. Can't wait to give this a go.

Have about 1 1/2 - 2 hours in the game, just recently got into New LA and have been mostly just wandering around. Enjoying it so far.
 
I still need to pick up Xenoblade Chronicles X. It looks awesome and from everything i'm hearing it sounds good.
 
I have about 30 hours into it and only 5 story missions done. Not sure how many there are total but I'm guessing I'll easily hit 100 hours.
 
I'm about 70 hours in. It's strangely addictive. It's the best little game that no one is talking about.

And now I'm FINALLY done with all the Story missions....90+ hours in. Ending is something else. All I'm going to say is, like all the games in the Xeno series, it teases you. But this one begs for a direct sequel.

How many story missions? I've done 5 so far. I do a story mission then do any affinity missions up to my level, then story and so on. Most of the other missions like gathering I let happen as I find stuff. I'm about 40 hours in right now.

There are 12 Story missions. Some of the later ones require that you've done some of the affinity missions as well.
