So I'm playing Logo Hobbit and god damn is smashing everything and getting as many studs as you can addictive as s*** in the logo games.

Collectibles are a huge part of longevity. For me, collecting things must build up to something else. Be it experience, weapon upgrade, etc. Arkham City did collecting right because it led to new gameplay challenges as well as experience.

Collecting for just the sake of collecting is pointless for me.

GTAIV and its pigeons are a good example of collecting with no reward except an achievement.

Challenge. But not cheapness.

Something like Ori can make you want to throw your controller at the wall. But you can't stop playing and eventually you figure out what you're supposed to do.

Whenever there is some version of gambling (Dice poker etc.). Something about saving up to buy that armor you want is satisfying.

Opening everything on a map, in a building, house etc.

In Last Of Us, I would try to make sure I open all the drawers, doors because I wanted to scavenge everything. I would do my best to know which door or location would start my in a new cutscene. A couple of times it didn't pan out. I would trigger a cutscene and wouldn't be able to get back.

That's prolly the one thing I do in every game too, search the fvck outta every nook and cranny...

Anything that let's you mess with Game Physics.

Usually with big open worlds like GTA V. I've seen some insane Mods people have put on it lol.

Also, any game that gives me Epic Kills. It's why I played Max Payne 3 Deathmatch doing s*** like a superman dive down a stair case while blasting someone with a shotgun in slow motion. In a way, even that relates to the Game Physics thing.

Aside from that, probably leveling to unlock weapons/powers.

Pimping/upgrading/paint the s*** out of my cars and having an unlimited garage...aka Saints Row/Forza

1. Fighting games in general.

2. Customising and building weapons.

3. Building my character stats and learning new abilities.

4. A good story like The Walking Dead, The Last of Us, etc.

5. Mastering combat in games like DMC, Ninja Gaiden and Beyonette.

I worked a lot at mastering King in Tekken until I could basically destroy people with chained wrestling moves. I got so many people disgusted watching their character get crushed and broken into a pulp.

Same with Fulgure in the original Killer Instinct.

I like the feel of game that gives you a good idea of what its about, then if flips it on you it still works. I like confidence from developers to think outside the box a bit, but not outside realm of a formula that works.

Destiny's light level system...

...Oh wait, I meant bitching about Destiny's light level system.

A great upgrade system will get me every time, as long as it doesn't drag it out too much. I played through Dark Sector 3 times.

In games like Fallout 3, New Vegas, Skyrim and the Dark Souls games I like (nay, I'm addicted) to collect every type of armor, clothing and weapon even if I know I'll never use them.

Addictive? Very challenging combat. Or finding extremely valuable magic items (i.e. D&D type weapons)

I did the same with the first Dead Space game. Went through it until I had every weapon completely upgraded.

Cocaine and wine always go well with games.

Ooooh... 'in games'...

Ummm... Anything that unlocks new costumes. And new romance options!
