What about other forms of BC for her? Theres a lot more options than typical pills. My girlfriend is thinking about getting a shot that you get every 3 months or something. Plus they have IUD and that "ring".

You guys could always adopt a child who needs a home. Avoid the medical bills and you get to pick the gender.

..And skip the dirty diapers, so I guess that's a plus.

That's not reversable, a full surgery, and it can be hard on her system, a Vasectomy is just an easier way to go.

Also, I subscribe to the school of thought that since the woman has gone through enough pain from pushing the kids out of her that the least I could do is get my s*** clipped.

After we had our two kids and we decided not to have anymore this wasn't even a discussion in our house, my husband felt I'd been through enough with two high risk pregnancies and he told me he was going to have a vasectomy. The worst part of it for him was my mom showing up at our house with my sister who was visiting from another state and walking up to him lying on the couch with an ice pack on his balls and asking him how his balls were feeling!
