This is the generation of Crybabies.

Too many act like they work for the company they support now days.

Just to be perfectly honest, I'm buying more stock in Microsoft in anticipation of Windows 9 being a hit. So.... do what you want with that.

Don't need all the consoles. I'm happy with what I got. Guess I'm not a "true gamer". Normally I just laugh at the butthurt.

Some stuff I read though are just asinine. Has there really been death threats at developers? Did I read this somewhere?

I wouldn't be surprised.
IIRC the same thing happened when FF13 was announced as going to the 360.

It wouldn't kill some of you to take a break from video game forums and comments sections for a few days, just to see how all of this is much ado about nothing.

I think the concept behind the thread applies to society as a whole. Hard to run away from it.

Complaining about people that complaint.

You just joined the catfight in a 3-way fight... Fanboy vs Fanboy vs Angry observer.

Do what the rest of us do, laugh it off and thank God or the e-entertainment.

If you're referring to me then see my earlier post. I laugh at the butthurt.

Yup. Too many babies think they are entitled to games. And the easy access to the net doesn't make it any easier. When devs are getting attacked by upset gamers on forums and twitter you know things are getting out of hand.

What gamers don't understand too is that the company employee on the other end is probably not even associated with making or handling the actual game. They are just handling or moderating forums and PR. Yet, they still get the brunt of fickle fanboys.

Yes. I do laugh for the most part.
Other times it makes my head hurt. I guess I'm just getting older and irritated easily.

I know they even super support the makers by not only buying the console/games but also by buying the cell phones, tablets etc they make. That's some dedication!

Trying to stealth troll attack again Val...

Taking sides in the X1/PS4 battle only goes to prove some type of insecurity. Whether it be on the part of a person feeling like they're missing out on something the competition has in the present or future, or them not being completely confident in the their decision to put all their eggs in one consoles basket.

Ive said it before, and ill say it again - this is not a fight that adults with jobs should be partaking in. This is something id expect from freeloaders, and entitled brats who use blogs and message boards to proclaim some ridiculous sense of self righteousness over themselves. As if planting your flag on the moon hanging over whatever planet your console of choice is from will make you special in some way.

I have both systems, I like em both, and there is more than enough reason to invest in both of them if you're a gamer. Thank God the internet wasn't a fixture at the time of the SNES and Genesis. It would have been way worse than this. As it stands though, its a depressing yet hilarious cycle that will continue, and frankly, im all for it. Every thread, blog, article, tantrum, mission statement, blah blah blah, is perfect for helping to weed out the losers and fanboys that frankly don't deserve to be taken seriously in regards to anything they have to say. Just look at all the immense butthurt regarding Tomb Raider lately.

To be fair though not everyone that buys the cell phone and tablets should be considered a fanboy t. I own a pro 2 and windows phone because they are awesome devices not just because who made them. I am sure u dont mean to include everyone who buys them though i just wanted to share my opinion.

There seems to be a parabolic relationship between age and whining for console wars.

Age 6 - mild preference
Age 14 - strong preference
Age 17-29 - max fanboyism
Age 35 - strong preference
Age 50 - mild preference
Age 130 - no preference (dead)

These numbers are precise and should be highly scrutinized.
