[Tim Burton] Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

I'm shocked! Nay, incredulous, that Johnny Depp or Helena Bonham Carter are not in this movie!

...so Tim Burton's X-Men then?

I can't help but see it that way.

Not exactly unlike Wes Anderson's X-Men.

I'd be more shocked if he actually made a good movie. It's been quite a while...

If you kids havent read the book, do yourself a service and read it immediately! Its fabulous!

Its obviously YA, but I think they're written a lot tighter than Adult Fiction most of the time. Less words, more story. Make it happen!

Great book! Excited for the movie!

Tim Burton has been getting back into form in my opinion. Dark Shadows was surprisingly enjoyable, I thought Frankenweenie was great, and heard even better things about Big Eyes. This one gives me a BIg Fish meets Edward Scissorhands type of vibe. Just in terms of aesthetics and characters with certain abilities and appendages.
