i assume gamespot went straight through story missions.. what a terrible way to review a game like this. cause i been looting and clearing areas as i go and i am level 21 and still have 8 main missions. my inventory:

yep game is so stingy with gear lol. tbf the reviewer was probably forced to rush through the game though, hope he takes time to fully engross the game at his own time

i love this game btw, look forward to jumping on it everyday

I'm tempted to pick it up after hearing about the chaos that goes down in the Dark Zone. Sounds like fun!

The game is wicked awesome, however, there havent been as many shenanigans in the DZ for me yet as in the beta. Maybe it's cause I'm still only lvl 13 or that at this point it's not really that opportunistic to go rogue.

So what happens at level 30. Does the game reset all of the open world and DZ with level 30 characters to increase the difficulty on replay. Is there and Diablo style Torment settings and does it up the count or increase the sponginess or both?

I haven't been in the dark zone yet i'm a bit nervous to go in haha. Especially since I play mostly rogue.

Dark Zone can be brutal. So far the majority of the time I've ran into some cool people and we work together getting things done. Other times I've ran into a******s who shoot me in the back and take my stuff. Just all a part of it. Adds to the tension and I love it. Do I trust this person or should I watch my back?

That Gamespot review was terrible. Sounded like he rushed through the game, didn't even mention the cell logs, echo's or the accident reports ,o base building, no crafting etc... Like seriously, that review was half assed.

This game takes all the crap I hated about destiny and makes it right, meanwhile improving the things I already liked.

Nothing really changes in the PvE world other than daily missions open up and the challenging mode becomes accessible. The Dark Zone repopulates to level 30 to 32 enemies.

Away on family vacation all this week, which is awesome, but I'm really missing this game when I have down time!

At least I can live vicariously through this thread, thanks guys!

There's nothing worse than working on a NPC gang in the DZ and get flanked by another from behind.

I crawled close to a checkpoint, then died and laid there watching some other player just come by and steal my crap.

That's rough man.

I was playing the other night and the second I enter the DZ I was blasted by three human players, right at the checkpoint. It's the perfect place to get killed as 1) I had nothing to extract so they had nothing to steal & 2) I was able to spawn right beside and now they were marked as Rogue. Back into the DZ I go and find them pinned down and damaged by some high level mobz that had attacked during extraction. They didn't even see me coming. I tossed a turret in between two of them and blasted another in the back of the head with my sawn off. One guy managed to escape the turret but was mowed down my the mobz as he tried to escape. I picked up the gear from the other two and did a runner

There is something worse. Mowing down named elite bosses and never ever getting a high-end drop:sad: I am starting to think my game might be broken or bugged.

So, anyone can turn on you, except for people in your group, correct?
Correct and they'll turn rogue. Meaning they have a bounty and anyone is free to take them out without any consequences to them.

Ok, I have tried numerous times to do the hudson main medical mission, which has the green gate that opens as you walk up to it. I can never seem to do that mission with a group. One of the following is what happens whenever I try:

  • I can go in by myself, no problem (but I am not good enough to do it solo)
  • When the doors open, I choose match making and click on my right thumbstick when a match is made, and then I am fast traveled to the main base?!? And I am then with a group of people, but they are in the base, not at the Hudson gate
  • When the doors open, I choose match making and click on my right thumbstick when a match is made, and then I get a loading screen, and then I am standing outside the gate, but the gate is closed, and others are with me standing in front of the gate but it won't open, but one group member is actually inside the gate playing, but we can't get in to join him (and fast travel to that group member doesn't work
Most of the time I am taken back to the base (out in the street in front of the base). The only time it has worked, was the first time I tried. However, about 90% of the way through the mission, I died and they were not able to get back to me because they were on the other side of a crate that you have to drop down from, but can't get back up (and I was shot off the crate backwards and laid there waiting). They kept trying to get me but found no way. But they finished as far as they could, but the mission wouldn't end because I was still laying there dead, waiting to be revived.

Fastest way to rank up in the DZ is to shoot people to entice them to go rogue, then killing them.

My first visit to the dark zone insisted of someone going rogue on me and a random as soon as I entered so I managed to flank him while the random suppressed him and managed to kill him for some sweet loot. Only for me to accidentally go rogue on someone else by accident when we were having a big firefight with some elites. And lost everything. And then did it another 2 times :smash:

It's just easy to get confused in the heat of the moment, a lazy frag and someone getting caught In the crossfire is all it takes. it was stupid because he ran right in front of me when I was firing my marksman rifle and took off nearly all his health so his mates just smoked me, I did manage to extract a purple M4 so gonna go check that out.

Valliance was looking out for me a couple days ago. Thanks, man!

He was level 20ish something and me level 9. Difficulty level goes up apparently when a higher level player joins but the game was UNPLAYABLE for me lol. I'm talking a single pistol shot from a thug and I go down. I didn't even make a good bait...It was basically him and his homey fighting on my behalf. Did level up twice, though!

I'm glad this game is selling well. Its a really good game and I plan on playing it for a while. I know that this shares some similarities to Destiny but The Division is a very different game. And I think there is room for both to coexist.

I'm curious about the end game content for The Division. I'm at lvl19 and still have a lot of story content to go through, and I haven't replayed anything on hard difficulty. But I haven't been able to find much about what's after that. I know about the Darkzone which I haven't spent much time in. But other than that I'm not sure what's there for me to grind in pursuit of better stuff.
