Tomb Raider - Project Jawbreaker - Amazon To Publish

According to the alleged script, the next Tomb Raider is internally known as ‘Project Jawbreaker’, and is described as “an action adventure game set in a modern-day world rocked by a mysterious cataclysm”.

According to the alleged casting notes for Lara, the project is looking to cast an “authentic British” actress in their mid-30s “in the prototype of Emily Blunt or Rosamund Pike”, and the role will involve “romantic scenes with another female character”.

Of course it will, it's 2022, progressivism with the homosexual is clearly the thing to do... unless they're men it seems... not even disney dares go that route, but they are proud to have two women hug and kiss (at least in the western releases).

I'll personally salute any company giving us a gay man in the lead (no, ME like romances doesn't count, it should be a canonical gay man).

Disney did have a moment with The Eternals…but yeah they’ll have characters who are but they’re rather passive about it

*Edit to add below

I asked a coworker if they saw Lightyear with their family and they get all prissy and say “did you go watch it, tell me why I shouldn’t go watch it….” I stood there in confusion and they continued “there’s a gay kissing scene, Disney is trying to make it normal by putting it all up in your face” so I just turned away and continued about my day.

Why? It sounds fine to me?

It's a video game. I straight up despise anything sexual in games. I won't watch a TV series or a movie if it's added needlessly. If I want to see it, I'll watch a p0rno to get my fix. I don't see the point of why a character needs to have a sexual orientation or what their religious beliefs are in the game. I don't play video games for their stories, just like I don't watch wrestling for their idiotic storylines.

They won't do it unless it's a trans man :) They have to get the female angle in there somehow otherwise how are they going to get that purple haired non-binary person with breasts and a vagina at work who only seems to date men (who hate other men) to notice them?

That's the thing, we don't know most characters sexual orientation because it rarely comes up.

Like Independence Day, you watch both movies and just turn off your brain and enjoy the fireworks

In a game like TLOU or something where it's very personal for the characters I can kind of see it making its way in but it isn't really necessary either. I hated Dina (Ellie's GF) in TLOU2 she was annoying as hell but I really ended up liking roid rage Abby and the trans character Lev. Lev had a believable backstory given that they were living with religious fanatics and I felt sympathetic towards him. Sometimes you have to get personal with characters to really make people care but it depends on the type of game for sure.

Except she's never been gay. This is rampant in Marvel comics and DC as well. Taking established characters and making them homosexual. This is what people talk about when they put on the tin foil hat and start talking about agenda. It's a tiny fragment of the population, I'm not sure why the pandering is so pervasive. Lara has been a sex symbol since her creation, but she was never trivialized.

That said, Tomb Raider has never been about romance, and doesn't need it.

The only reason her being a lesbo would be annoying to me in the slightest (which it isn't) is because I know they won't show a gratuitous, hot lesbian sex scene where they scissor each other until the room stinks.

Wouldn’t the lenses on the camera steam/fog-up over first?

But honestly they wouldn’t have to make such a scene. People probably have scene such a scene online ;) or they’d be doing such things when the scene begins and total ignore it cos they’re busy.

Or people just don’t care and they’d press x to skip and get back to playing

Nah bro, I fully watched the Ellie and Dina kiss scene. It was beautiful.

I know they wouldn't have to make such a scene, that's why I specifically said it would be gratuitous, meaning without reason or justification. And depending on the perspective they chose to depict it from, we needn't worry about lens fog or any other sort of... 'precipitation' obscuring the view, 😏
