I was hoping that they might have snuck in a next-gen release in there since the release date is so far out, but alas, there's none. Capcom, give us a next-gen Street Fighter IV asap!

Next up is the release date information for Ultra Street Fighter IV. Right now, we are hard at work to bring the game to all of our fans as soon as possible, and want to ensure there is enough time that players can practice to compete at Evolution 2014. As such, the digital upgrade will be available in early June for $14.99 (€14.99) on PS3 and Xbox 360. Following shortly after in August, is the digital upgrade for PC at $14.99 (€14.99), as well as the PS3 and Xbox360 full digital bundle and retail versions, which include all previously-released costumes for $39.99 (€39.99). Since our PC fans have to wait longer for the content, we have a special deal where they can get the full digital bundle including all of the previously-released costumes for only $29.99 (€29.99), also in August. Apologies to our PC fans, as we did want to release simultaneously, but this was the only way that we could ensure that Ultra Street Fighter IV would be included in the largest fighting game tournament in the world.

Wow releasing in June 2014 and not having a next gen version seems like a bad idea to me. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like a lot of people will have made the jump by then.

I kinda disagree, I think next-gen gaming has come too fast. I think it's going to take at least two years before we start seeing solid games release for the next-gen consoles.

All the more reason not to ditch the current ones. I do wish though they would release it for next-gen...but Ultra has probably been years in development.

I'm not sure I agree with the two years number, but I do agree it seems like this gen may take more time before it's fully embraced. I just think a next-gen version as well would have been a smart move.

I look at it this way, the current games in the past year I've been enjoying on the Xbox 360 that have recently released within the past six months like GTA V, Diablo 3, NHL, etc...it's probably going to take well over year if not more before we see those versions on the X1.

Blizzard keeps saying Diablo 3 is coming to PS4...but they're quiet about it coming to X1, obviously it'd be dumb of them to do a next-gen exclusive to PS4 and I doubt it is, but I guess im like...didn't all the devs know next-gen consoles were releasing in Nov 2013? Why didn't they plan for this ahead of time?

EA and Activision obviously did with their BF4 and COD games, but why would Rockstar and Blizzard not?

Can't afford to release next-gen games.

Releases 10th iteration of the same game.

/wtf

Really wish I could get into fighting games. They look cool and probably an absolute blast against other people but I just suck ass at them these days. Probably skill related but also just not having time to spend learning all the combos. If I play against someone else that just button mashes like me then it's fun. Not the people that can do the 100 combo hits that juggle you in the air the whole match.
