Well, looks like I'm in the need of a new smartphone.

Currently, I have a poor phone name Sidekick (2008 ) and have had it for quite a long time. Usually, I'm not type of a person that likes to keep up with the latest techpower when it comes to the smartphone. Also I'm a simple person (not really care/crazy much about apps or video or pictures, etc.). I'm all about email, text (my wife and Mom are the only people I talk to, lol) and Internet (mostly reading my Bible). That's, basically, pretty much it.

So, to simply put, what phone am I looking for? I'd like to stay with Samsung line since I'm pretty much comfortable with it on my old smartphone. I can't go with Iphone since I do not have Internet for computer at the moment. Budget is not an issue. However, I'd like to keep it low as long as it meets my need.

Question: what does "Unlocked" means? I saw some of phones with "unlocked" at Amazon.com and wasn't sure what it mean.

Possibly, someone freed the phone from being locked to a carrier. Or somebody "Rooted" an Android phone. Personally, I wouldn't be inclined to mess with a phone like that. I could be wrong though so maybe someone else can comment.

As for me, I finally upgraded with a Droid LG Vista and I'm very pleased with it.

You can't really go wrong Smurfboy. There are alot of nice phones now.

Just make sure to get enough data and pay extra for insurance if you can.

What's your budget buddy? If it's on a contract,And if you like Samsung phones I would go with either the galaxy s6 or if you like big phones go with the note 4
