I remember when halo 2 came out, omg the forum was ALIVE!!!

I had so many fun mp games with folks on TXB and made quite a few friends along the way.

Hope you all are doing well!

What was your fav memories?

Duhkmahsik?

Anyway, my favorite memories ... when the forums were packed like L.A. Traffic when it was E3 time. I also miss that Iil douchebag theseekar. He was the laughing stock for many years on the different names he had.

They're faded memories now, but right before the original Xbox came out, and the year afterward. That was sort of the golden age for TXB (or MSXbox, I guess). Right around the launch of the 360 was a lot of fun, too. And E3's, especially Sony's lousy press conference in 2006 (?), that was a riot (back when I saw Sony as arrogant). Lots of great games discussions over the years. Sharing my experiences of gaming with other people is really what I'm here for. Unmasking guys pretending to be girls is funny, too, though.

Honestly, right now is a pretty nice time. I think it says a lot about the cohesion of this community, that almost everyone jumped within 48 hours. I'm feeling a lot of team spirit lately. Which is a change, since 6 months ago I was thinking of hanging it up, the fanboy console war BS was invading every thread. Mods finally got that contained, though, within the tickle fight thread. With the move here, things are 10,000,000 better, as seekar would say.

I lurked a bit before but decided to join and post around the time the 360 was announced. I guess I don't have one specific event but the OTL was always a fun place to hang out. And E3 time was always fun as well.

Like you Anderson, I was thinking of calling it quits at the forum as well once I hit 30k posts, probably around the end of this year. Kind of disappointed I won't make 30k there but I shall begin anew here.

Yeah I also have to give the nod to the Halo 2 release as the most memorable.

SOOOO many people were so hyped...... AND disappointed all at once (Including myself).

I'm sure he'd agree with you aswell if he was still here. :-)
We were arguing about software design. He was using Wikipedia. I was using 15 years experience in the field. ;)

The guy who came into a thread about guns and instantly started talking about Krav Maga. How he could take on someone attacking him with a bat.

Most def a post I posted about halo two n notice frankie (frank oconnor) had visited the thread...oh any hint of info on halo two lit the forums like a wild fire

Edit/note...that n txb was the first site/forum I ever signed up for ^^,

The OTL stays busy like this we might be able to go back to trolling the hell out of the GXD.
