Valiant heart is so good! Enjoying it so far. Puzzle are lightweight by adventure game standard, but mostly logical, & good use of the dog.

Action sections are also fairly lightweight, & add to the variety a bit.

Finally jumped into Alien Isolation last night. Have had it for over a week but been too busy to play anything. I like it so far, the atmosphere is really good. I haven't seen the alien yet though so I'm not too scared yet.

Shadow of Friggin' Mordor! I'm actually playing it in my mind while typing this as work!.... Damn, I'm one productive Mo' Fo'...

Game is pretty fun. I mean damn does it rip off other games but it's great.

Yeah, the game is pretty friggin' sweet, hoping they can do a sequel and can add alot more to it, as admittedly there is not much to the game beyond combat (so it's a good thing they nailed that pretty well)

Other than that, I finished Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain [PS1], which I thoroughly enjoyed despite its archaic issues (man I love a good top-down action/rpg adventure. I'm definitely gonna have to get Alundra [PS1] eventually too), and now I'm going to continue with another old-school PS1 classic, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. Never played it before, but it seems right up my alley :hehe:

...

I would LOVE it if they rebooted Tenchu with a more modern take on the design ( not the setting).

Wasteland 2
Star Wars the Old Republic

and about to start Shadow of Mordor when I get time.

What was it in particular that you liked so much about the design?

I thought the setting was the best part! hahah

No, thats what I meant, modernize the design of the game, not the setting. Keep the same setting but apply more modern design philosophy to the game structure, mission design etc. That is what I meant when I said "a modern take on design, not the setting." Sorry if my wording was weird...

I'd like a nemesis system at my work. More than a few heads I'd be happy to lop off to advance my career.

Ohhh I see what you mean, yeah, I agree! Mark of the Ninja did a great job in 2D, but I'd love to play a truly awesome modern 3D ninja/feudal japan stealth game. They made lots of Tenchu sequels throughout the years, even going as recent as the 360 with Tenchu Z, but from what I understand none of them evolved the design much at all; they all kept mostly the same archaic design as the original PS1 game. Mainly for this reason, each Tenchu sequel received worse and worse review scores, and had relatively worse and worse gameplay compared to modernized games. Tenchu Z was pretty much a joke at the time it came out...

Bummer.

I actually think i may've even played the one on 360 and didn't even get through the first level it was so bad. I'm with you though, a 3rd person action ninja game in feudal japan/ the orient would be suh-weeet!! I actually wanted an Assassin's creed game set in feudal japan but honestly they'd have to totally re-invent the combat to make it play the way I at least would want it to play, none of AC's past or from the looks of Unity's combat would be suitable IMO...

Civ: Beyond Earth. Lost 5 hours real quick to it already. The end is not in sight.

Just finished Valiant heart, good game. I will continue Trine, then after that, shall see.

Maybe I load up Farcry 3 that I have since Summer, or continue with Batman:AC. Or maybe I pick up Ethan Carter.

Finished Borderlands the pre sequel and now playing Borderlands 1 (started on Borderlands 2, then pre sequel and now for the first one)

Fatal Frame II was good stuff. Quite a lot of backtracking, but otherwise a compelling adventure with some unique qualities and truly effective horrors.

Now I'm onto Maximo vs. Army of Zin [PS2], the sequel to Maximo: Ghosts to Glory. Loved the first, and the second so far isn't letting me down! These are simply fantastic old-school 3D action-platformers with a lot of charm AND challenge.

Speaking of armies, I've also been playing Army of Two [360], split-screen style. Pretty lacklustre game in all honesty, but couch co-op has had its moments nonetheless.

PC: Waiting to Play FM15, Civ5
PS4: AC4, Madden 15 and FIFA 15
Vita: Roge Legacy, Spelunky
Football Manager is released now I believe. I saw it on the front page on Steam.

Currently, I am played the re-release of Final Fantasy VII for PC. Square-Enix put no effort towards making this game controller friendly at all. :/

Battlefield 4 - Decided to take the plunge and take Origin up on their game time offer of free for 7 days. Currently downloading the 20+ GB game, but should not take too long.

Still Alien Isolation. MCC and Unity will be showing up soon, but I'm going to make sure to finish A:I before playing those.

Too many to track. I have GTA5 on order and that's the last game I'm getting until Witcher 3 which is I think Feb or March 2015.

Yet, my pile is:

- FH2
- Shadows of Mordor (which I just received in the mail yesterday)
- Halo MCC (which I also received yesterday!)
- I still dabble with Diablo 3 since they add some content with patches
- And I have to get into CoD which I got last week!
- Then there's the couple of freebie GWG games recently

On one hand, getting buy 2 get 1 free deals and pre=order deals is great. On the other hand, it just means backlog! In the old days of gaming, deals were never this good and I'm pretty sure most people milked playing one or two games at a time and then moving on. Now, the deals come so often we gamers probably all buy and spend more than we should! lol

PS4: Fifa 15.

Backlog: TLOU remastered.

Xbox One: Halo (or lack of it, not found a single game in matchmaking).

Backlog: Battlefield 4 (replaying campaign)
Metro Redux delux.

My backlog for the last generation of consoles is huge.

Ps4 : The binding of isaac rebirth and Spelunky (tho already have it on pc).

PC: FM15
PS4: CoD Ghosts (Backlog), Madden 15
VITA: Restarting Season 1 so I can play Season 2.

I am thinking about finally starting The Wolf Among Us on PS3. And maybe finishing Puppetter.

I can't remember having a pile of games like this. It sure helps when I some for $30 and others at basically buy 2 get 1 free pricing! Why pay $60 in this day and age?!?! Take advantage of promos and pricing policy deals!

- Ryse
- Tomb Raider: DE
- Titanfall
- Diablo 3
- Forza Horizon 2
- CoD: AW
- Halo: MCC
- Shadows of Mordor
- GTA 5
- A mishmash of free demos and GWG games

Got Witcher 3 on order too (I think it comes out Feb or Mar 2015). Thankfully, no other big budget games I know after that for now, except for perhaps Division and Halo 5 which seem like games coming out fall 2015.

Also, want to get Ori and Geo Wars 3.

Still waiting on fishing Alien Isolation.

My backlog is beyond enormous though. I have games dating all the way back to the launch of the X1 that I still have to finish/start.
