What movies have you seen recently?

Same here. It was very entertaining. The action scenes are great, and both Travolta and Cage make large number of insanely over the top acting choices that made me laugh out loud. I've been wanting to watch / rewatch a lot of John Woo movies lately, so I'm moving through some of his easier to watch films at the moment.
I can only recall 3 other Jhon Woo western ones:

Hard Target
Mission Impossible 2
Paycheck.

The First Omen - Good

I saw it in a completely empty theater. I was the only one there. Was a pretty cool experiencing a horror movie with me being the only one in the entire theater.

I rewatched it last year. Movie is still a lot of fun with those leads.

Yeah, I started MI2 last night. I've only ever seen it once when it came out, recall not liking it much at the time.
I like MI2. While the newer movies with a more Bond-esque direction are objectively better movies, MI2, to me, is just good fun. Maybe the last of the more cheesy, over the top 90's action flicks. Which, to me, is the golden era of action movies.

Wow, I thought I was the only one that actually enjoys MI2 lol.

Nowhere near as good as the original, but 2 and 3 are relatively solid. 3 has Sam Neil as an adult Damien. I've still never seen 4 and don't remember the remake.
Yeah, the original still holds up (the best of the bunch). 2 and 3 are good. Good trilogy overall. The reboots or whatever haven't been well received. I hear the new one is doing OK.

Saw Black Panther 2. Quite a good movie overall. It was quite good for a post Infinity Wars Marvel movie. Namor is excellent. Great depiction of him. He definitely helped with the stoic presence that Chadwick Boseman had. The new Black Panther suit is excellent, but I was slightly aggravated with some of the motivations, and they don't really explain if Namor was aware of that whole Infinity Wars thing. Like, did he get snapped, or any of his people?

I watched that recently. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it without Boseman.

Ewww!!!

Terrible choice for Black Panther. Way too long.

Civil War - Great

As a photographer, I really enjoyed the movie. It was really well written, so well written that there aren’t any sides per se.
I'm pretty reluctant on this one. My first thought when seeing the trailer was "this is political cheese." It does seem to be getting some good reviews though, so I might give a watch down the line.

Watched Rebel Moon 2. I also watched part 1. Before spolier, maybe Zack Synker is a good directer, but he is for sure not a good writer. At best average. I guess the show is okay for a, leave your brain behind action flick. If you are hoping for a space opera epic, its not.

Now for the spoiler part of my short review

The bad guy was so bad at his job, it buffled belief he was given charge of a ship. You wouldn't even trust him to deliver a pizza. Like every char, he is one dimension. I am bad, I do bad stuff. In case you do not know, I also wear WWII bad guy uniform, and have a comical hairystyle.

The only half decent char is discount Badley cooper, and I am being generous.

The kungfu woman (probably to check the Asian diverity box) and Tarzan chars are dumb. Using swords and axes against guns....The Jung Fu woman fighting is painful to watch. Can they at least get someone that can do fight scene. Well, they made the bad guys shoot like stormtroopers, so Tarzan somehow managed to beat them. Also Tarzan prince story looks tact on and does nothing for the plot.

The main char, Kora was *yawn another generic Mary Sue. Her Adopted father framing her made zero sense.
He could have frame anyone, but no, he raised someone as child, so he can frame her years later.
Zack must have thought we will be mindbown finding out she is the one who "killed" the princess.
Mindbown how idiotic the scene is.

Also "shocking", princess is not dead!!! How do we know that, I mean if Zack did not tried to tell us she had super power (very original).

Also lets talk about robot superman. I mean, if robot is so OP, why not just made more of them instead of all the useless soldiers that couldn't hit a barn door at 3 feet.

Robocop

Been playing more of Rogue City, felt like re-watching the original (director's cut...which is essentially the theatrical version with a couple short shots replaced with alternate shots that don't change the movie at all). Movie is still a classic. Pretty impressed by how well Rogue City recreated the police station. I seem to always block everything about 2 and 3 from my mind (one of them has a little kid who swears a lot, that's about all I ever remember), but I'm planning on watching those in the next week or so as well. Enjoying the game now that I've gotten farther into it and I'm unlocking new skills, abilities, and schematics for the gun.

Dune 2
... meh...?
Maybe it's because I just rewatched part one, but the sequel movie didn't feel as epic or visually stunning as the first one.
Also, lots of cringe scenes with the emo youngling and the latina chick... can't make up my mind if it's the writing or acting.
Also, movie was too long.

Rebel Moon Part 2 - Just as big a pos as Part 1.

Don't watch it if you haven't yet. Spend the time doing something more fun and useful.....like watching paint dry or watching the gradual change of a river shaping a stone.

The characters are funny. It is like Snyder stole them from elsewhere and destroyed them.. Lets see...

Bargain bin Furiosa.
The un-evolved Tarzan
The 7 teenth Samurai in full colour.
Hitler's dimwitted cousin
The girl next door does snuff films.
Ape Ceaser human style.

Lol.
