What TV show have you seen recently ? Episode one

I didn’t mind towards the end of GoT. Could have been better yes. But like Lost I was fine with how it all concluded. I was still entertained.

They "wrapped it up"

Forced a conclusion and really the best of those shows was the start and everything up until they had to finish them off.

Kinda like real life!

I watched Louis CK Sorry......I thought it was funny.......I must be ashamed now.

Still really digging Narcos Mexico.

People hated how The Sopranos ended. I think people just have different ideas about how a long running show should play out.

I'd imagine it's usually about both money and everyone involved just wanting to do something else.

It's easy to be the viewer and think a show should just go on forever, then complain when is starts to suck, then either stop watching it or complain about the s***ty ending.

I do that.

South Side

It was originally on Comedy Central, which is why I didn't see it when it originally released, but now it's on HBO Max. It's a black show about the daily trappings of two "Rent-a-center" employees and two police officers. Might not be for you if you're not into black comedy. I think this show is absolutely hilarious.

Did the Sopranos completely forget the character they built in the previous 7 seasons just to try and get shock value? GOT ending sucked cause it seemed like they just wanted fans to be wrong and gave an ending that made no sense at all. Spent seasons upon seasons setting up confrontations only to try and add a twist at the end that failed miserably.

GoT ending was pathetic.

Sopranos was beautiful because it made perfect sense to me.

I hope I can just talk about the Sopranos ending without using spoilers, in an early episode of the last season Tony and Bobby (going off memory) talk about how they think it will all end, and basically agree you'll be dead before you hear the bullet.

So the show ends in a diner, Tony and family out for a meal, dude walks in, goes to the bathroom, walks out to their table and that's the end.

Beautiful ending. But I remember the outrage back then. "people upset with the Soprano's finale"

It was perfect.

Game of Thrones.....not so much.

But what was HBO to do? They had to wrap it up because I'm sure contracts were needing renewing and all that stuff, and they don't have finished novels to go on for the last 2 seasons or whatever, so they have to go off RR Martin's notes.

And the end result was a dissappointing, rushed final season. Whatever.

Nobody ever talked about The Sopranos ending like they talked about GoT even from its biggest haters. Mainly because everyone knows the episode itself was good even if you don't like the ending and the ending itself doesn't sabotage anything that came before it.

People hated the finale of Seinfeld.

I'm sure you're just as old as me or even older.

I'm just saying show finale's have always been hated, but yes I guess your're saying no to the extent of GoT, and we both know that's because it wasn't possible way back when for people to announce their displeasure of a shows finale the way people can today. We had to read that s*** in the papers and monthly magazines.

I know and I'm sorry for going on about it.

There's s*** that happened in the books, that got cut from the show........and I'm not even a nerd about it. But they clearly bungled it.

But I think we are talking about endings whose potential badness is exclusive to its final minutes only and doesn't have any impact on anything that came before it. Nobody soured on Seinfeld as a whole because of its ending.

Ending sucked but the show as a whole is a amazing ride.

Star Wars 1-6 i love and still love despite the s*** they call Episodes 7-9.

123 = DUMPSTER FIRE
456 = BEST
789 = GOOD

For me 456= Star Wars
123= Well holy crap they made more Star Wars never thought I'd see that! Yah not as good as the originals I guess.
789=More Star Wars and exceding my expecations based on 123.

I've liked every Star Wars production since Disney took over. And Mandalorian is awesome, can't wait to watch the Boba Fett thing coming out soon.

Crime Scene: The Times Square Killer - Average

It’s more of the history of Times Square than anything. The murders are almost a side story.

Cobra Kai (Season 4) - Good

Not as good as other seasons, but still enjoyable. Forced subplot could have made it meh, luckily it didn’t overpower the other plots.

Starting this today. Didn't realise it was out.

Started watching Yellowstone this season (caught bits and pieces of prior seasons). This is Game of Thrones in the modern West, right?
