What TV show have you seen recently ? Episode one

What we do in the shadows -
How could I have missed this, it's hilariously great lol

Fear of the Walking Dead (whatever the latest season is) -
This is so badly written (season 2 was great though) at this point that even if I let my brain go on spare fuel I still find dozens of mind bending loop holes and insanely irregular decisions made by characters lol

Just finished season 1 of Yellowstone and the first two episodes of season 2.

Season 1 was really good but not awesome. Typical character development and history of the family and ranch. So far season 2 is awesome. Really digging this series.

The next couple seasons ramp up. The current season is a slow build and then they stopped mid-season.

Just got done watching the first 4 episodes of 1923. Not bad. 1883 is really good. Just in case you are interested in the whole Dutton Family Tree.

I am interested in the whole Dutton family! And I saw Harrison Ford is in one of those.

Have 3 episodes of True Detective season 3 left. It has been really damn good imo. Love these two as partners, while Ali is alway great I’ve been really surprised with Stephen Dorff he has been really good in this.

You guys weren't lying about season 6 of Vikings. I'm on episode 12 now, I roll my eyes or groan in embarrassment at something in nearly ever other scene this season. So many odd choices. Literally all the characters the show started off with are dead or gone now, and I don't really care all that much about what happens to any of the remaining characters. I'm having to force myself to watch the remaining 8 episodes in the hopes that something worthwhile happens.

While I still got some enjoyment out of it yeah they could’ve ended that show sooner. Only thing that I was really interested in was when they discovered was it Greenland or Iceland then discovered the New World.

Out of curiosuity, how many different streaming services do the average American household sub to?

I only have Amazon prime, & only because I shop often on Amazon, & Netflix was shared account.

I have Hulu for live tv which includes Disney+, HBO Max, and ESPN+, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. I also did the Peacock 99 cents per month deal for a year.

I use them when they have something new I want. Then fill out the time watching older stuff. Right now I'm subbed to none.

I use my parents Netflix sub, and then right now I pay for the Disney bundle (D+, Hulu, ESPN) Amazon Prime, HBO Max, Discovery+, and I still have Peacock and Paramount+ when NFL Football started might do away with those soon.

I'm currently subscribed to Prime, Paramount+ through Prime, Netflix, Hulu, HBO ($2 a month promotion), AppleTV (free promotion through GP).

I'll let HBO and AppleTV run out once the promotion ends. I'll probably cancel Hulu in a couple months. I only have Netflix because my Dad is using it. Once they do their sharing policy, I'll cancel it.

Prime and Paramount+ are ones that stay on.

I usually wait a while and will resubscribe to watch some shows then cancel. Repeat.

Oh and I have Peacock, standard, for free and I can't cancel it :). It's a long story. I tried to cancel, but I'm not being charged.

Finished The Three Body Problem TV series. A monumental achievement by Tencent for fans of the book. Low budget at times, but they got it when it counted.
Going to keep an eye on this. Want to see if Netflix will keep it. Need a season 2 before I'll jump on board. Looks interesting.

Never even heard of this. What is it about?
People either seem to love the trilogy or hate it. The Three Body Problem is a trilogy written by a Chinese author, Cixin Liu. The first book in the trilogy won the Hugo Award, and Liu became the first Chinese author to win that award.

The book is described as hard sci-fi, which it is in some ways, but I wouldn't describe it as such. It's definitely sci-fi, and it incorporates the history of the Communist revolution into it.

The series effectively ruined my taste of all other sci-fi for a time though since it is so massive in scale, and the author's imagination just blew me away.

Finished Sandman. Really liked the first 6 or 7 episodes, but didn't care much for the last few episodes. If another season comes, I'll check it out.

Finally started House of the Dragon, watched the first two episodes. Enjoying it so far.

The only show I am watching is physical 100. One thing that caught my eye is how respectful, polite & encouraging the contestants are. Barely any trash-talking & insults.
I also like , it is not just a game of strength of stamina, but also teamwork & tactics. Its sometimes MORE important how to use your strength. In one game, where they push a boat, only one team realise that the friction between the boat & floor make it hard to push, & decided to lift the boat instead. Also the same team realized how the pulley that was originally helping them get worse as the length shorten, to decide to push the boat instead. Resulting in them easily win.

When I am not watching, I find myself you tubing some of the contestants.

My favorite is Song-Bin aka Iron bin, who wore an ironman helmet (with approval from Marvel) in his gold medal run in 2018.
