Where are the Extreme or Alternative Sports games?

Skateboarding, ATV/BMX, water sport racers etc...

I wouldn't mind a new Skate game. I used to love Rainbow studio's ATV games. And I would kill for Wave Race or something like it that doesn't use motion controls.

Is the genre dead?
 
I'd put money on Skate 4 happening. Is the Dirt franchise dead? I liked those games. Wave Race 2 on the Wii U? Bring it on Nintendo.
 
Skate 2, rallisport challenge 2, and amped 2 are all of my favorite extreme sports games. Don't think any of those are possible though. :*( PC has a game called snow built on the crytek engine in early access right now. Haven't heard much about it yet.

Yea I'm a skier so I was thinking about getting Snow.
 
Mark me down as another hoping for a new Skate.

There is supposed to be a new Tony Hawk game coming, right ? Not as good as Skate, but if it does well then others may jump on the bandwagon.

Haven't played a game in this genre in a long time. With that said, I'd be all over a new SSX.
