Who has gone full digital this gen please?

I have. Only disk games I have are Ryse and Infamous Second Son. Every other game for both consoles is digital. Its fantastic.

Nope. I went digital only for a few months and will never go back. I get great deals on disc based games and end up selling them about 1 year later anyways. For instance I paid $33 for NBA 2k14 last November and sold it this past August for $25, so essentially it was $8. Same thing will happen with Madden 15, etc. There are always great deals on retail games (check out Cheapassgamer), and on eBay I find you should get about 50-75% of what you paid for a game about a year after you bought it. It really adds up.

I have, I love the instant switching on my X1 and having my ps4 games so regularly available too. I am proud to say that I have not entered Gamestop in more then a year.
It clicked in my head towards the end of last Gen that I buy my music digitally, why bother with physical for games? I haven't looked back since.

I would be tempted, but $69 + tax for games? When they cost $10 less in store AND have physical material and can then trade or sell if I so choose? A lot of the times, for the games I know I won't play more than once or twice, I will buy a used copy on classifieds and then re-sell it for almost the same price (or offer a trade). I.e. I got Wolftenstein for $30 and I can re-sell it for $30 if I want, once I'm done (if I"m quick enough).

Someone explain to me why a digital game would cost more. It should be less, because they don't have to manufacture the physical disc, case, or manual!

So yeah. For me, it will be PS4 mostly disc games, with a healthy amount of digital indie games. Plus, I get to burn an extra calorie every time I switch discs ;) (health benefits!)

I'm getting a decent saving on the dollar euro exchange rate plus for both consoles, I share my games with a friend so we only buy every second one. That and having instant access at the moment of launch with pre loading is to good to ignore.

Music and video games are very different IMO. I will be listening to the music I bought for the rest of my life. I will not be playing Madden 15, The Last of Us and Destiny for the rest of my life. Do you disagree? 10 years from now you will be loading up your Xbox one to play Titanfall? Heck even next year will you be playing Titanfall? And your still play Xbox 360 games these days? Xbox original games too? Be honest.

I spent the summer playing older games. In fact, I beat Resident evil 4 for probably the tenth time. I also replayed Last of us plus King Kong, dishonored, Godfather and others. I'm the wrong one to ask. Lol. :) Plus I have two Xbox ones so digitally I only have to buy one to have two.

edit: I will give ya titanfall, though fun at first, competitive multiplayer is not my cup of tea.

I don't have to worry about reselling games because I usually keep the games I buy so I will probably go digital on most copies unless I get a great deal on disc.

Good thing I am waiting on that 1 TB/COD console.. It's going to come in handy.

Nope. Probably won't go digitally exclusive until it's cheaper than physical.

I've purchased about 10 games this generation for the PS4 and Xbox. If I went digital, I would have thrown $200 down the drain.

Between Best Buy and amazon I've been able to buy brand new newly released games for $35 to $45.

So no, I'm not going digital until the prices and deals are at least comparable to digital.

The last four Games I have bought I have went Digital. I love not having to switch discs"Yes I'm lazy:)" but I do admit I will miss being able to sell, get rid of them when I grow tired of them.

Shall do like last gen. Buy retail but also the smaller digital games and then of course games that go on sale on the marketplace.

This gen:
PC (steam) - All digital this gen/last gen. $10 or less though. I have yet to pay more than $10 for a digital copy.
Consoles - Mostly physical cause I like to collect and resell in order to pay for my gaming habits plus I'm a sucker for collector's edition/limited edition.

Here is some examples:
Paid $6 for Nier (PS3/Complete), flip on eBay for $40 shipped.
Paid $22 for The Orange Box (360/Complete), flipped on Amazon for $25 shipped.
Paid $40 for Demon's Souls Deluxe Edition (PS3/Complete), flipped on eBay for $90 shipped.
Paid $7 for Borderlands GOTY Edition (360/Sealed), flipped on Amazon for $25 shipped.
Paid $22 for Fallout New Vegas Collector's Edition (PS3/Complete), flipped on eBay for $55 shipped.
Paid $22 for Fallout New Vegas Collector's Edition (360/Sealed), flipped on eBay for $100 shipped.

Do you see why I prefer physical over digital?

I mix it up. If it's a game I know I'm going to play for quite some time, digital. If it's kind of a whim, I go physical.

Same! As some guys on here told me about the sharing on x1 me and my son get one game each for half price :)

Me me me. But that's been due to the lack of official offline release of Xbox One in my country. If physical copies are cheaper, I intend to buy them as well.

I can't go all digital and I wouldn't want to. I'm already running out of space on 500GB as it is anyways.

Other than Madden 15 and launch titles, I am all digital.

I see sticking with physical for things like yearly games, but most games I don't want to bother with the physical media and I rarely sell games anyway.

You can add an external hard drive on Xbox and delete and reload the game when you want it.

Console is still 100% physical because of Best Buy GamersClub Unlocked makes the game $48 plus usually more deals on top of that. PC is about 90% digital. Unless I still find a good deal on a physical copy, I'll go Steam/Origin/whatever.

Full digital because every game costs half price on X1. My friend bought Destiny so it's free for me. It also pre downloaded on my X1 as soon as he pre ordered. I'll be buying the next game which will be free for him.
Just got to buy myself a 2-4 TB external HD.

I don't like the idea of replacing the internal drive with an external one just to store all my game. And deleting and reloading is an unnecessary hassle. I want an experience comparable to what I have on PC with digital download games.

Agreed. Didn't replace the hard drive on my ps4 either. Its only a matter of time before Sony add external support though.
