WiLD is an online survival adventure game. Devoted to the wilderness. Set 10,000 years ago when nature and humanity were one.
It is funny is it not. The Order was blasted for no online gaming and many claims of "Not buying" because of it. Now we have The Wild, an online only(?) game that is meeting similar dislike.
Is anybody reminded of the canceled Xbox game, B.C.? This game shares a very kindred spirit with it. Looks very cool and I don't mind at all that it's an online game.
I'm not sure if it's online only or just a game that you can play online with others if you want, the wording in the announcement leaves it a bit vague. If it were online only I don't know that he'd have worded the following sentence the way he did.

Anytime LOL now let's just see how it all plays out, hopefully it's optional. I really love the concept behind this game.
If it's a really focused four player online co-op adventure game it could be cool.

Could be, I just hope this game lives up to it's potential, I've been wanting a game like this for a loooong time.

I don't get why people are wary because it is an MMO.

Ummm...this game is getting heaps of praise from just about everybody. Try not to listen to people who prefer to mess around with predictable AI and watch B level video game narrative for hours on end.
Glad I'm not the only one who never forgot about BC and am getting similar vibes from this. Curious what the actual gameplay of it is as they say you can be human or animal....
it's simple a good SP game does not need MP and a FPS game always has MP well most times anyway. the art style in this game makes me pants tight I know that. Reminds me of mark of kri. very good game is nobody ever played it.

So Wild is an FPS ? the trailer makes it look more like a 3rd person game like Kameo or tomb raider. The Order is also 3rd person similar to Gears of war. Yet, we still have this conflicting opinion about the MP inclusion ( yes, I know the online only has been cleared up and shown false)

Yeah, I would think the word "especially" would make it pretty clear.
It's thinking like that that causes devs to shoehorn in half-assed MP modes into games that don't need them.
Not adventure games. "Zelda multiplayer." "King's quest multiplayer." Ewww.
