Not sure preaching on a global scale counts as being a Hero.I liked it. The ending was anticlimactic, but overall a decent hero flick.
I think so. I liked the first movie.Wow nearly all the YouTube reviews are saying this is really really bad! I actually loved the first movie.
so for those that have seen the sequel is it really that bad?
You can blame the people who were pissed that Superman snapped Zod's neck. Not sure preaching on a global scale counts as being a Hero.
So, if you can't kill them you write a terrible script where the super hero talks to save the day.You can blame the people who were pissed that Superman snapped Zod's neck.
Which does output Dolby Vision with Atmos.I watch with my Apple 4KTV
NoImagine a Superman sequel where Lois had died in the previous film but was allowed to come back by taking over a random woman's body, Clark knowing this proceeded to have sex with her several times and repeatedly put that woman's life in danger, would the social media mob have been ok with that? would that movie even get made? The owner of the body lost a week, had sex they didn't consent to and was put in a position where they could have been killed several times yet it's perfectly ok because it's a guy.
This is my problem with so many movies nowadays. Action movies should be 90/95 mins max!Movie was okay, but too damn long.
Movie could have easily been trimmed down to 2 hours. Also, for being set in the 80s, they really failed with the soundtrack.
that being said, I miss going to the movies. Hopefully this time next year we will be able to go to the movies.
The common argument is that movies need to earn every minute beyond the 90 min mark. This is my problem with so many movies nowadays. Action movies should be 90/95 mins max!
The problem with that line of thinking is this isn't an action movie, there is hardly any action in it at all and what's there isn't as good as the action in the first one. I went back and watched the action scenes from the first movie and they were way better than the ones here, hell the mall scene almost looks like it could have been a soda commercial. This is my problem with so many movies nowadays. Action movies should be 90/95 mins max!
Apparently WB wanted Jenkins to cut either the mall scene or the scene with the Amazon Olympics, they felt two opening scenes weren't needed and she refused to cut either one. Honestly I think she could have cut both scenes and it wouldn't have made the movie any worse it just would have made it 20 minutes shorter which would have been a good thing. That opening scene in the mall is so bad.
At least the Olympics scene had pretty good musicApparently WB wanted Jenkins to cut either the mall scene or the scene with the Amazon Olympics, they felt two opening scenes weren't needed and she refused to cut either one. Doesn't matter how long a movie is if it is neccessary. Today movies are just bloated with unneccessary scenes. To me it seems the industry has this weird idea that the longer the movie the more artsy, itelligent, or meaningful it is.The common argument is that movies need to earn every minute beyond the 90 min mark.
Recently, I've been watching a lot of movies from the 1930's through 1960's range. I'm consistently shocked by how many "classics" from their respective genres in this range have run times under 90 mins. In some cases, run times well under 90 mins. Many of the classic Universal monster movies are in the 60 to 70 min range, and still keep your attention 80 to 90 years later.
You'd hope the industry shifting to streaming over theater experiences would help decrease run times, as movies don't feel like they need to earn the ticket price. Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of the bigger budget direct to streaming films have little to no editing in place, and run times are actually increasing. Hopefully critics and viewers push back on this phenomena, not every dumb idea and scene filmed needs to be included. Proper editing and concise story telling is an art as well.
I'd rather watch that than thisSo essentially it’s the chick ghostbusters flop.

Its just mostly dullThe more I think about it the more I don’t like WW84. Basically the same sentiments as Jin and U2. The whole way that Steve is brought back?!? Come on, the dream stone is fuqin magic, just pop him back in existence. Diana is supposed to be the paragon of integrity. How is it that DC has such a hard time with decent SFX? The final fight scene quality in particular with Cheetah is horrendous. The third act is utter crap and the end...can’t seem to close a WW movie.
