Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries Coming to Xbox One
http://www.xboxachievements.com/news/news-18566-Woolfe--The-Redhood-Diaries-Coming-to-Xbox-One.html

A dark interpretation of the classic fairy tale, Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries sees Little Red Riding Hood embarking upon a vendetta against evil forces, across a "rich fantasy setting". A platformer set amid caustic smoke-spewing factories, dainty medieval villages and dark, twisted woodlands, Woolfe: The Redhood Diaries is an ID@Xbox title coming to Xbox One.

Doesn't make sense. MS' indie policies are supposedly so bad that every indie dev prefers making games for PC and PS4! lol

The game will also be playable at this year's Gamescom, giving punters a chance to go hands on and win limited edition Woolfe prizes in a special 'high score challenge'. Red Riding Hood cosplay is also encouraged, with photos of the best efforts to be shared through the game's community channels.

Looks interesting. I'm a bigger fan of Alice in Wonderland, but this is a good close second.

My favorite f*cked up fairytale

Edit: I don't even remember what the moral of the story was..Wolves are nasty?

Looking at it again, the gameplay doesn't look as hot as the visuals. Especially the combat. Alice: Madness Returns had a nice heavy and solid feel to it's combat, but looking at Woolfe, it feels too light and floaty. Same goes for movement in the game.

Uhh MS's indie policies were bad at Xbox One's launch, and quite a few indie devs spoke out about it. They improved with the id@xbox program, hiring Chris Charla, and (apparently) dropping the parity clause for some games.

But that doesn't fit with the "hey this doesn't make sense hurr!" narrative, does it. Nor does "Sony is paying indie devs to not talk about the Xbox One version!" when it was obviously the anti-indie policies and parity clause causing issues.

Zod help me,I don't want to hate but I must. Because apparently we don't have enough "gritty reboots" of classic fairy tales. Jesus,at what point did the cultural level dropped to pre-scholler levels?

Not close to enough gritty reboots. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a gritty version of Humpty Dumpty.
