It's Philly.
Have you guys been to Philly?
It's like Camden, but Philly.

Lived in or near Philly for the first 23 years of my life. While it's true that I did come out to find a brick through my car window a couple of times over the years, it's not until I moved out of the area and saw more of the country that I began to realize that it actually is a pretty damn good city overall. Like any place in the world, it's just a matter of what section you live in.

If not being able to resell means I can buy new titles at $35; or wait some months and grab them in a Steam sale for $5...I'm okay with this.

The worst part is you're getting ripped off by not being able to resell your games.

You buy a game for $60 then resell it for $30 (if you're extremely lucky). This means you RENTED said game for a couple months for $30.

I buy the same game for $20 a few months later during a steam sale and I get to KEEP it. This means I OWN the game for $20.

Worst part indeed.

Face it, TD, you are 100% clueless when it comes to PC gaming and you should just keep your yap shut on the subject.

For me the main problem I have with DD is no resell value (even if its a small return) for full price new games. Hence I mostly buy when there is a major discount.

I just bought for instant Far Cry 3 for about 7 bucks, there is no resell value for sure, but I cannot complain at this price can I?

If there is some trade in value (or store credit), I will be more willing to pay full price for more games.

I think I am not the only Cheapo that buy games on steam only when there is a discount. Why not allow trading in, so more people are willing to buy at full price. If the game is good, I can keep it in my library, & they get my full money.

Yeah and games on the PC come with me from hardware to hardware(and can improve as your hardware improves over the years).. unlike consoles(if you sell older ones like me)

So every new game is $35 on day one? I didn't know that. If console gaming goes full digital i'd have less of a problem with it so long as games aren't still full price. I have the feeling developers will still try and charge full price or close to though.

And Idle, it's not even the same thing. Nevermind reselling games. The fact that i can't simply let a friend borrow a game sucks to me. I just hate the concept. Accept that people have different views than you or take your own advice and keep your yap shut sonny.

If you shop around... you can get games even cheaper for example.
I got 2 copies of Dark Souls 2 for $28 a piece(at launch) and Transformers ROTDS (at launch) $26

Oh okay. The "if you shop around" excuse. See, that's why some of us prefer console gaming. It's straight forward, you get what you pay for on day one and you're free to do what you want with your copy of the game. Plus console games drop in price in a matter of weeks on Amazon and other sites. So getting deals on games isn't an issue. PC gaming is just a hassle to me, and one that's not worth it just for better resolutions and fps. I go where the games take me with the experience i enjoy. Sorry if that offends anyone.

Its not a excuse man its what I do.. I do if for everything why pay more?
Console game deals are never as good as those on the PC.
I can't and won't argue with you if you think PC gaming is a hassle as it is 2 many.
BUT if you can get over that hump you would see what the hype is all about ;)

Oh and @TDbank24 you do know I console game on my PC right ie
Its in my living room hooked up to my AVR and 65 inch 4K TV,I ONLY play controller supported games and I have a wireless KB/mouse combo.

why does every thread turn into a console vs PC?

Because eVo and Idle feel the need to take a jab at consoles at every turn. Or i just see it that way and i respond negatively. Either way, i'll take the blame. Don't mind me.

Console gamers use the "shop around excuse" all the time. Point in case any time someone says "XBL-G costs $50 a year, that's too much for me." You get a swarm of people going "If you shop around you can find it for $35!".

PC games are always cheaper than their console variants, because PC game development doesn't have to pay out license fees (this being the principle reason why console games rarely reach steam type prices; that and physical packaging costs).

PC game have to also pay royality, if they use a distribution service like steam, & I am not sure the royalty are cheaper. Steam royalty are rumoured to be about 30%. This is probably the main reason major publishers wanted to push with their own services.

I think the main reasons for PC game being cheaper is:
1) it used to be cheaper, so the tradition of PC game cutting console game price continue after dd become the norm, by principle. Otherwise PC gamers will get mad, & dd on PC may not have took off as well.

2) less cost due to less middlemen, & lost from used market.

I got BF4 the day before release day on PC for 44.99.

I can only imagine the kinds of reactions they get when asking a parent for their fingerprints when buying a game for their kid. Crap job made even worse.

Nobody is taking jabs at anything, we're just correcting your blatantly false statements about PC, or your delusional statements about console, ya know, bringing you back to the real world. BTW I play consoles and PC. Would you like pictures of my setups for proof?

Funny, coming from you...taking cheap jabs at PS with your constant "XB is Jesus in a box" comments.

I've never read him not praising both consoles. By praising xb1 now he is insulting ps4? Loving it kept em coming...

Good point, and i thought of that after my post. I don't think i've ever said Xbox Live fees aren't a big deal because you can find deals myself though. I've always believed that Live should be no more than $40 a year to begin with.

No thanks. I already knew you played consoles and PC. You know how i knew? Because PC gamers despite being the Master Race can't seem to stay away from consoles. Funny how you always see PC gamers saying they own consoles but most console gamers could care less about PC gaming. I'm not trying to start another war but it's the truth. That master sauce must not be that tasty if you're turning to consoles to get your gaming fix. ;)

Says the guy who stated he plays FF14 on PC, but let me tell you, the PS3 and Xbox 360 do make great Netflix players because that's really all they have done in the past 2 years.

And neither did eVo7 bashed consoles in this thread. If you think saying "the best thing about pc gaming is not having to go into a gamestop" is a jab at consoles, than claiming the XB1 is limitless next to the PS4 is also a jab at the PS4. Like eVo7 said, he's constantly making these delusional statements about the XB1, he obviously tries to start junk with these comments.

And you come to his defense....but you didn't come to eVo7's defense....... lol

The difference is that, in the case of the PS4, TD doesn't bash it in other instances. He's consistent when it come to over-the-top praise. Kinda his thing, I guess.

Evo, on the other hand, has a demonstrable history of snide console remarks.

TD DOES have a checkered post history in regards to PC though, but that isn't what you are talking about.

Sorry, did you attack evo7 as well for posting praise for a console that hurts you emotionally as well? If so tell Evo7 I'm sorry for not monitoring all of your hateful posts towards anyone that likes the xb1...

Exactly, everyone knows i love the PS4 it's just not my console of choice. Guys like Qbert believe everything Sony tells them. If Sony said the PS4 could walk on water he'd eat it up. Sorry i have realistic expectations for the machine and you see that as hating.

I don't have anything to say about PC other than it's not my platform of choice. I've said time and time before i think it's an awesome platform and if you prefer it, more power to you. I don't even comment on it until i see people hyping it up and bashing consoles in the process. It's all good in my book though. I don't lose sleep over this sh!t. :D
