:(Couldn't figure out how to change the title in the last thread so I started a new one. This thread is all about the w8 os
phones PC tablets and of course the X1.
This is all inclusive thread. Having the Xbox music pass I know that it works on both my phone and console, but don't know about other devices. Stuff like that, oh and of course giving out info, and just general discussion. The poll is something I have been wondering about for a while. I'm hoping the discussions don't end there.

I think maybe.

I lean towards "probably not" though. Might be something they experiment with on super cheap games that cross into mobile territory. But then again, they also seem to love to get you to double-triple-whatever dip on those games.

Windows Phone 8 has a different store than Windows 8, so for phones I would have to say no for now. On the other hand, does the X1 run the regular Windows 8? Cause if it does then maybe the store is the same as the Windows 8 store for PCs and tablets, in that case then it should. But I'm doubtful now with the Halo: Spartan Assault news. If it's coming the Xbox then it will be sold separately and not within the Windows 8 store.

Love my Nokia 920 wouldn't trade it for the IP6. I call it Xbox phone when people ask what kind it is. Then they see how I have it set up a lot are surprised that the tiles can change shape and move around . Got to get more games for it though, maybe some original Xbox games. If that is.possible.

I say yes, with the qualifier that they will all be free to play games.

I only said yes because from the way it sounds they are going to unify the windows 8 and windows phone 8 store into one, but I think they will only be windows store games, not the typical AAA titles. At build this year Microsoft showed the Xbox one running a windows store app so I would assume that the xbox one is going to get the unified store or something similar.

You already pay once for pc and tablet. For phones I don't see that happening till Windows 9 when it will be a truly unified OS.

Since Microsoft doesn't just treat tablets as large phones, it does require some effort on the developer's part to optimize the app for each Windows platform (two right now and XBO will be third). Microsoft does make it relatively easy to build your app once and port it across all the Windows platforms but I still don't know of any deva that let you buy once and use across phone and PC/tablet.

Microsoft treats a tablet like a PC so in that respect you can buy once and use across all your Windows PCs, laptops and tablets. Generally though, if you want it on your phone its a separate purchase. XBO purchases will probably be similarly locked to that platform. Even Microsoft's own Halo Spartan Assault requires a separate purchase on phone and PC.
