Xbox CFO wants to bring their games to every screen, including Nintendo and Playstation's

They always said COD would stay MP despite what some especially on here claimed.

They have also kept Minecraft MP and released some games on Switch. This isn't a new strategy but more of MS bad communication.

They aren't going full 3rd party because they won't be releasing every game on other platforms(see Bethesda). They simply want to put Game Pass on as many devices as possible and get into streaming.

Plus abandoning the console means abandoning GamePass, which is where they have a true edge over the competition. If the Xbox console is gone, why would Playstation and Nintendo suddenly allow GamePass on their ecosystems? PC would still be available, but all Steam would have to do is create a viable competitor and it is all but done.

Oh look Dried tried to make a new troll thread.

MS is thinking of a bigger picture. The future of gaming is becoming a lot different than it was a decade+ ago.

MS will keep Xbox consoles around but if they want to make more money in the console market they need to put their big games on PlayStation and Nintendo as well since those are the console market leaders and this is what I'm getting from this article.

MS is already doing that, and has committed to doing that with some titles. Elder Scrolls Online, Call of Duty, Minecraft, Fallout 76 expansions and online support. Where is the discourse here? We gonna cover that again next year and the year after and the year after? Sony also said they can't make first party games without third party revenue. And now Sony is putting games on PC, going GaaS and putting their next 12 GaaS games on Microsoft Windows PC day one. I guess Sony is 3rd party now too.

I think the discussion has now revolved into whether Xbox is going to give access to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles for their first party titles.

Which MS already is.

Not their original exclusives. Just from the publishers they recently acquired. I'm talking about the big exclusives that made Xbox like Halo, Gears, Forza, Crackdown.

We will see what happens and if more exclusives are offered.

Yeah, no that isn't happening.
